I have remade it today so that the code is nicer although I won't be releasing the source. As I have remade it, and not tested the remake, there are likely some faults, especially anticipating some from rounding errors not matching how the game rounds numbers.
This is essentially an offline calculator that, given your stats (you will see which ones are necessary) will determine the minimum number of units needed to be sent on a sabotage mission and how many of those units will die.

It is created in Visual Basic .NET and hence runs a .exe which only works on windows machines or machines capable of running .exes otherwise.

How to test if it works:
1) Enter all the necessary information required, everything is necessary if applicable to you, else you may either fail or send too many units.
2) Click the "Calculate" button.
3) Copy and paste the number related to "Spies to Send:" into gatewars against your target and engage the sabotage.
4) Check if you succeeded or failed.
5) If you succeed, subtract 1 from the number to send and try sabotage again, if you fail the calculator is working correctly. (perhaps it may not be necessary to only remove 1, due to rounding it might have to go back as far as maybe 5. If you are still succeeding after removing 5 there is an error in the calc and it would be appreciated if you reported this error in this thread.)
6) If you fail, add 1 to the number and try again, repeat this up until you are adding 5 to the original number. If you are still failing there is an error and reporting the error in this thread would assist greatly. Also please report if you have to add any number to the displayed number of spies needed as this should be corrected.

I am currently in the test phase so would like as many people with various covert levels, different targets, planets (covert) etc. to test this out and point me towards any errors with as much information as you can give me regarding the failed sabotage.
Such information would be:
1) If you are in the covert house.
2) If you are a lonewolf (no alliance)
3) Your covert level
4) Your Ascended Rank
5) Target's covert action
6) A list of your covert planets
7) The number of units the calculator asked you to send
The number of units necessary to succeed (if found, even just a rough est.)----------------------------------------------
The calculator will remember your stats upon closing the application, hence in the long term you rarely need to change anything other than the enemy covert and your planets.
EDIT: It is worth mentioning, the calc assumes:
1) The target has maximum Alert Level (This can be changed if people request it)
2) You have gotten all the covert Techs

This is not all I have left to add into this calculator, however I want this section to be perfect before I carry on with a more complicated section.
