What do you want to see in the game? what can be improved? any suggestions welcome here...

Fixing Covert Levels

Taking this idea from the other thread to get it the attention I feel it deserves. This idea is very simple, will not tip the scales to a great extent but will help to keep smaller players in the game.

The idea is this:
When you ascend, instead of loosing all your covert levels you only lose a few levels, depending on what ascension you are going for.
If you are ascening between 0-10 (Prior to AG) you loose only one of your covert levels
If you are ascending between 10-20 (AG to TOE) you loose two of your covert levels
If you are ascending between 20-23 (TOE to UnKnown) you loose three of your covert levels.

So if your say going from LG to LG+1 and your covert is 31, it will only go down to 30
But if your going from UnNamed to Unknown and your covert is 38 it will go down to 35

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

terrible idea imo

Those of us that have made it to 23 ascensions have already been through the pains of spending out on covert levels...why should we make this cheaper for people now?

Lets be honest, if you plan on going all the way with ascensions, you at max need covert level 29!..it's possible to get this level with no risk to covert you may have trained.

For people planning to go all the way, you should start worrying more about your UP cost + rebuying the lost ascension UU. If you are moaning about covert being too expensive you have a nice surprise coming your way lol

I doesnt completely reduce the cost as all previous covert levels=next covert levels. Especially when your loosing 3 levels at the higher end.

The game is completely messed up how unascended people cannot compete in any way at all due to having low covert levels. When MS' were the big thing you at least kept it when you ascended so an LG had at least some chance.

Level 29 covert is good enough? You know thats not true at all. Sure it might protect you a little and its good enough for farming...but seriously... what about in war? And your not going to be spared war in this game just bvecause your ascending.

Oh lets mass some unascended accounts. Why arnt you fighting back unascended accounts? OH YEAH ITS BECAUSE YOU CANT. see? SEE?!

You say that, but when we ascended to UnKnown covert didn't have the power it does not and covert 36+ wasn't the norm. Now if people are ascending, warring is practically out of the question.

How many fully ascended people mass the unascended? it's kinda seen as being quite a low thing to do. Also who bothers ascending all the way up from nothing now? All the unascended people I know, are simply raiding enough UU to buy another account.

Why don't all the unascended group together and move into the house that negates AB? that would at least put them on a move even footing. If admin changed this, all that would happen is the $$ spenders fully ascended would buy another covert level or 3...so what really changes?

Bottom line...war or not, it practically impossible to combat some people's covert now! not unless you want huge losses. I'd support any idea that actually brought massing back however.

Alliance repair...or alliance PPT.....but not both...that needs sorting.

I dont think the idea has merrit.

When ascending, most generally dont build up higher then 30 or 31.
For most of the players ascending to unknown it would save a few T

There are some exceptions, but I guess them be lower then 5%

it would perhaps encourage slower ascensions ... seeing as you can profit a little more if you spent a lot more during your runs.

Dont think that will be the case for most though.

The power difference between unkowns building high coverts and lower ascendeds with relative lower coverts are an issue I guess.

I'm not sure how I feel about the idea, but it does have merit in the way that say someone is doing back to back ascensions and their alliance gets in to a big war.
They have the usual 29 covert but can stop ascending for a month or whatever buy up to level 33 say, have a chance of fighting back without breaking the bank.

Only reason I voted 1/5 is because there wasn't a 0/5 option

Totally defeats to the original point of ascending, personally I think the zeroing or reducing of MSs when you ascend should be reinstated, and more ascensions added with bonuses worth making the sacrifice for.

Firstly, I support the idea. Allows not fully ascended accounts to have a higher covert capacity and better change of defence.
Secondly, Some questions for those that have commented.

I had been when I was LG+1 and there was UnKnowns around.
Also, that theory of raiding to buy is unsustainable. Seriously, Lets say there is 100 fully ascended accounts (for arguments sake). Lets say every month all the UnKnowns sell their account, and 5 put theirs on vacation (accelerated example). In under 2 years, all UnKnown account will be on vacation. There maybe 1 or 2 floating around, but at the cost of say $500US, that'll be like 1B UU.

That's true now, but the same was existent with MSs in the beginning. It will save you more like 10s of trillions. Even if you have 35, and drop back to 32, that's still 50T naq they'd save not having to buy the first 32.

Your point maybe valid if you weren't already fully ascended... But since you are, you've nothing to loose from this. Unless all UnKnowns are now willing to have their MSs reset?

i support this idea fully, there really shouldnt be any complaints because they did it with motherships, it would save trills upon trills of naq and would be very rescourcefull for alot of things! this is nothing but a great idea that would improve the game.

I agree and i'm ascended, although i don't htink you should keep all, 3/5ths for the smaller 1/5th for the higher it's only fair the power of balance is already so skewed it's un real something needs to be done to get new people, more and more leave each day, less and less come to try this game... something must be done or it will die

Blame it on the covert levels LOL. Adding more ascensions is not a good idea, I wouldnt do it again and it takes too dam long to max out as it is. Instead of all of this make the attack ratio similar to ascended..

YOU CANNOT HIT AN ACCOUNT THAT IS FAR BENEATH YOUR ACCOUNT, AND AN ACCOUNT THAT IS FAR BENEATH YOURS CANNOT HIT YOU.

edit..making the game more competitive and giving smaller players and new players a better chance..you can add a farm button..you can take naq from anyone..but not attack..this you can have big accounts fighting big accounts, mediums vs mediums and small vs small..and in order for this mechanic to be bypassed can be determined on the house configuration i.e. house war you can hit anything.

The key part of my statement was 'more ascensions added with bonuses worth making the sacrifice for' so I would not be fully ascended any more :smt047

I dont think anyone is blaming the covert levels themselves, just the fact they are made so important by the killing off of good old fashioned massing by alliance repair/ppt.

Cant imagine what you have against extra ascensions, oh accept all that naq you spent on coverts, what is it now, 2.5 Quadrillion on the last 3 lol

As for the size or power limiter, it sounds good but has been discussed before. It works on ascended because ascended has no trading, in main trading makes it exploitable.
