What is the rank you have to get to in order to ascend?

Its not about rank, its about glory and reputation points.
You need to be within the top 2% of the game in order to start generating the points, and when you reach a specific amount of points, you will be given the option to ascend. It is all about maintaining your account long enough to get the points required to ascend really.

Thanks. How do I get to that level? Just keep playing and building? Also, if you play everyday like I do, about how long does it take?

its not definable like that.
You could play for years and not get into G&R point range. You have to get the statistics and keep them high enough to get yourself in the ranks. Of course this is unwise if you cannot back the statistics up with a large enough army size.

true, the top 2% is around 1300 i think now, and you need 1001G&R points to ascend, its not rank thats important, its ability to get rank what counts, in other words army size

When I go t in G&R (half January) it was like 1250 or so, now I guess it will be between 1250 and 1300. Though to gain a steady amount of G&R you need to be around 1100, then you won't leave the range if someone attacks you or even if you go to bed.
That last thing happened to me on the first night. Another thing, G&R range is, around the borders, a place where you can increase your rank a lot by just increasing one rank by 10 or 20, many ppl with approximately the same sum of rank are there.
