Well imo, it's going to be less about the wraith. Didn't the RepliAscendedWeir tell the Atlantis Team that there were numerous other technologically advanced societies they have yet to encounter?

I would much rather have them elaborate on them, trying to ultimately destroy the wraith with their combined technologies (Kinda like how the 4 great races combined to show the Goa'uld their power), than have it solely another Atlantis vs Wraith battle.

When did that happen?

In SG-1, I think it was that ep where they get trapped in that castle-planet thing...
But basically, Ancients and Asgard (And furlings?) saw rise of the goa'uld. And wanted to show them how powerful they were, so the Goa'uld won't get any 'ideas'. They pleaded for the Nox's help, which was reluctantly accepted. They then proceeded to destroy like half the Goa'uld fleet (I don't think this happened)
Something like that.

Re: Stargate: Extinction

it didn't happen. By the time the Goa'uld arose in the milky way the Ancients had long since left that region of space in force and the Nox were never a major power like that.. they have power and tech but not numbers and beyond. The furlings were from another galaxy like the Asgard and the ancients at the time. The Goa'uld were left to take the galaxy largely unopposed.

Asgard had their gene stuff to sort out a long with fighting the replicators. The ancients were fighting the wraith, the nox are pacifist's and the Furlings we don't know about.
