As predicted by many a critic. On the bright side though we can hope AMC picks it up.. what they've done with Walking Dead and Breaking Bad.. well yeah. I reckon they'd bring TN up a few notches.

Re: Terra Nova
There's hope at least...
But it was very much expected. Its not as if the TV companies care all that much for fans. Its the money they care for, yet adapting to how society is changing, they do not.

"Great holy armies shall be gathered and trained to fight all who embrace evil. In the name of the gods, Browsers shall be changed to carry the internet out amongst the peoples and we will spread Firefox to all the unbelievers. The power of the Firefox will be felt far and wide and the wicked users of IE shall be converted to use the true browsers."

Re: Terra Nova
Turns out Netflix are interested in taking over Terra Nova so at least there is a little hope for it continuing. Only problem is i cant see Netflix forking out the same budget they had for season 1.

Indeed. I think the overall problem with the show is they tried to do to much. They tried to please all the audiences with the family stuff, sci-fi stuff, dino stuff, etc. they should have stuck to one audience and focused the show that way. Instead we got a mess. only that start and end of Terra Nova was good and the rest was just a jumbled mess of "problem of the day" episodes.
Hopefully if it gets renewed again it will be done right as the potential is there.

Re: Terra Nova
Nobody wants to watch "problem of the day" episodes. It's extremely boring.
I expected a plot line, or something of value from Steven Spielberg..but..

Its part of the formula, the rules are.........
Episode stories/plots ( occasionally extended in to double episodes )
and
Series stories/plots
You alternate between the 2 taking it in turn to be the main focus of an episode
You stick in 2 love interests, one mature, one young, some stuff to shoot or blow up, other distractions like space, dino's, robots whatever, Then get the stereotype charactors... you will need at least 2 sideswitchers, 1 good guy to go evil and 1 evil one to see the error of their ways and turn good, the fencesitter who plays both sides, usually as a bar owner or trader, 2 action types, one on each side, a moral leader type, a super-villain, a super-smart guy to do techno-babble, a dumb guy to ask questions so you can explain things to the dimmer members of the audience ( this guy can also double up as a stoner/waster if your want ) , psychobabbleologist ( mostly for the yanks who love that stuff ), an unobtainable hottie and some expendables.
Mix it all together and you have commercial TV
The quality and genre vary but the rest remains the same
