Untrained mercs??? Are they worth it?

They become useful once you research the bakery tech, at which point with enough untrained mercs a massive cake sale can be thrown and you use the naq to upgrade your mothership.

Or they might be useless aside from a small gain to AP when you ascend? Can't remember which

So they play no role in income? Totally pointless?
I just bought 5M off the market, I can't see an increase in army size nor income. Why do they belong if they're pointless hmmm???

Some believe Untrained Mercs are a nice collector's item (some have several billion of them), others believe they give you more APP than the Naq it cost to buy them.. theories, theories.. ask the Math Lord.

The only thing they possibly do is gain you extra points on ascended when you ascend. Otherwise they do nothing. Buying untrained mercenaries is a complete waste of naquadah
