Road Bikes

Now ya prolly know im doing some long ass bike for charity, 56 miles- and I be in need of a road bike.

Now i know, the generall term for a road bike is you get what you pay for, meaning the more you pay the better, but can anybody with experience tell me if if bikes that are like 150-200 are decent? (£)

Can anybody give me any decent advice on which to buy as the best value for money. I dont want anything more then 300 cause ill be using it for school and college even with padlocks i still dont trust many people lol

get me on msn ive done quite a bit of road biking and you really don't need an expensive one just for that, ive done that amount on my old rally road bike which has down tube shifters im old school .

the smaller thinner saddles are designed for long rides because that's how are bone and body are designed to sit i know this because i have a flat saddle and it's a hell of a lot comfier than a big fat padded one in long distances.

narrow seats also give you more power into ure riding and stops that up right position that also looses power. it's all about weight distribution to get a better ride more leg movement 2

You can buy alternate saddle, you can also get an 'extension' on the saddle (not sure what they're called in english) if your taking different ride.
