you pick up many of the words... eventually it kinda translates in your head before you read it on the screen .Aisar Saqib wrote:We have been watching japanese anime since long so i was wondering how many of you actually understand the words in japanese? i can understand a few....

Re: A curious question
It's been a while since I've watched anime actively. I kinda got obsessed with manga instead, then there was the little matter of not having good internet for several years, and now...I have no time. Oh, youth, how I miss you.
Though, back when I was watching a lot, I picked up a lot quickly. As Zero said, it just sort of sinks in after a while. The mind is a very clever thing. Most of the time.
Plus, I have a thing for Japanese culture as a whole, and Japanese is one of the languages I dabble with. Kinda focusing on Hebrew at the moment though.

Re: A curious question
I understand quite a few of the used words. Even the context they are used in, etc if the writer gets it wrong.

Re: A curious question
The first time I realized I could understand what was being said was several seasons in as a timer for a fansub group.... I started realizing the words said, and the lines I was timing weren't synced. primarily because English and Japanese sentence structure are reversed.
