Gundam Wing?

I recently watched GetBackers, it's actually pretty decent.

The design of the characters and stuff resembles the old style I believe. Remember the characters changing into some funny ass face then switching back?

It's more action to me though.

Gundam Wing is actually pretty fresh in the whole Gundam saga.
It was (for me) one of the first 'better' animated.
Story-wise .. meh it's been so long since I've watched it but yeah the whole teens being super pilots it always comes back.

Getbackers i've read the manga, is the anime decent yeh? I'll give it a try this weekend.

The anime is decent, although, the videos I was forced to watch are either in Dubs (OMG GAYDAR ALERT), or MegaVideo which means 72 minutes then a waiting time of an hour.

So it kinda killed it for me.. but I'm sure you will like it. As for the manga, I hope it continues the story because it stops at episode 49 where..

I DO NOT like panty shots, or most of the stuff that's been out with insipid female nothings.

i find this hilarious, because the majority of shows i'm looking into following this season are like this...

i really need to find a better list of what's coming out in the new season >_>

It's one of the constant problems of being a anime lover who is female.

A LOT of the amines have the panty shots and one every now and then isn't -that- bad if there is a story to go with it, but the trend with anime over the past couple of years has been to make them very gratuitous and unnecessary with little to no plot line. That gets boring and tiresome. Same with the boring and unoriginal harems.

In the past few years, i’ve found that the animes have looked nice but have been very lacking. That’s probably why I watch a lot more of the classic stuff.

so... i've come to realize, one of the shows is ABOUT the womens underwear(the main character loves women's underwear)... and the other... goes way past just pantyshots...

i REALLY need to find a better list of anime >_>

lol..... most ecchi series' psi recommends to me.... i tend to download lots of the stuff now...... lol hell, theres probably a few series' that I have that he doesnt. lol

ok, recommendations: for the sci-fi/steampunk fix, I do recommend Xam'd (as keel predicted), i seem to recall I was the one who told him about it....
completely ignoring it's a relatively recent one but Not '10...... lol. very good series.

more of the above: Ergo Proxy, VERY good series....

I also recommend the Kara no Kyoukai movies, very dark and sinister plots, but it is VERY worth it. the music composition and the general atmosphere in it leaves me wanting to watch it over and over, literally. though n00bert will disagree, he watched it and did the naruto fan thing... "omg not enough fighting" ... good story, good action, great music, yeah. i saw ep 1 and was an instant fan. (while most eps were subbed in the last few years, there are 1 or more coming this year, so yeah.)

an oldy but a goody, the melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya..... a bit of fun, at Psi will agree.

along that train of thought..... if you can handle obscene amounts of cuteness, Lucky Star is good. despite the fact that 17-18 year olds look like 10 year olds. lol

well i am not a super anime fan but i think i have more then most and have watched a bit over my 29 years

But have just watched Initial D as a mate gave me the first ep and i ended up getting the rest from a great anime site
i have - One Piece [ subbed ]
- DBZ remastered complete series [ dual audio with subs ]
- Bleach up to date week by week from Dattebayo
- Naruto complete series [ dubbed ]
- Naruto Shippuuden up to date in Dub [ i know dub sucks but the first Naruto i watched in english on normal tv so i couldn't watch it in sub form sorry ]
- Initial D all 4 stages plus RL movie and battle and extra stages just waiting for 5th stage now [ also in dual audio with subs ]
- Devil may Cry series complete [ subbed ]
- Kurakami complete [ subbed ]
- Rurouni Kenshin 1st season [ dubbed ]
- DB GT [ dual audio with subs ]
- Robotech [ complete 20th anniversary edition boxset ] had to buy was my child hood show
- Transformers [ original series from the 80's ] also a child hood fav
- X-men [ original series from the 90's ] another child hood fav

have seen death note, ghost in the shell, Full Metal Alchemist, Inuyasha, Ninja Scroll, Samurai Champloo, AppleSeed. think thats about it have seen more but can't think of any at the moment..
