Complaint against Haz

1. 'nez de coq' is a well known French comedic item. Cultural unawareness is no valid reason to back up a warning.
2. 'coqnose' is an intentional change in spelling to prevent using more French (which, as you so elegantly demonstrated, is against the rules), and says 'nez de coq', see 1.
3. The only correct translation for the French word 'coq' is 'rooster'. The phonetic similarity to the English slang is undesirable, but an unfortunate coincidence. Blame William of Normandy, if you must.
4. The verbal warning for 'fermez ta bouche' is extremely valid. In this case, non-English is used without translation.

Also:
Behave. Any non-English without translation hereafter will be awarded a warning.

So in your professional capacity as another competent mod, please can you inform me if you genuinely believe that this is worth of a board warning?

I apologise to this aspect, I meant to carry on with a language, not to mask any profanity. If this looked like masking and people took a different way to which it was intended, I also apologise for this.

I googled that word to find some form of definition of the word, generally, it will lead to some obscure definition, but I couldnt find any. (Even with some wild variation)

Aparently, that word is used a lot for profile names on various respected sites.

2. As for "intentional change of spelling to prevent using more french", that text was there before I warned him. If he knew not to use french in his post, then why did he use it in the first place? Point 2 is invalid.
   
3. Rooster may also be called "**Filtered**" but that doesn't stop people from using it in a profane manner. In the context of his post, it seems like he is saying "smash this **Filtered** nose" much like someone would say "smash this **Filtered** head". Definitely doesn't seem like he is saying "smash this <french comedy item>".

1) Much inconsistency in filtering, what words and acronyms can or cant be used

Crap seems to be allowed, yet it means the same as the S word which is not

Things like FUALL were allowed, yet the F word represented is not

2) Much inconsistency in Modding, always has been. Some Mods have been bias at times using the rules against those the dont like, but far more common is the fact that some Mods are more hardline than others ( you could call this diligence or pettiness depending on your personal point of view ), some mods will walk on by a comment when others will warn for it.

3) Haz, you are one of the hardline mods I refer to above, I have personally been warned by you before and told you to stuff it due to it's pettiness, Im sure I wasnt the first and Im certain I wont be the last. I think you need to chill out and think before you hand out warnings. I would be curious if there are stats showing how many warning are issued by each mod, and in what time period. I would bet heavily you give out more warnings per hour of activity than any other mod.

4) Anyone who thinks that kids who are old enough to have internet access havent heard and seen things far worse than a swear word is deluded. Wwearing and insults can be used in funny & expressive ways without being offensive, it's more about the context and intent than the words themselves.

5) I do think everyone should speak English............. not just here but everywhere, worldwide and at all times lol

Today, you made a seemingly biased decision. Prehaps justifiable with the use of rules, if you try REALLY hard.

This was not an example of you using discretion or using common sense and this is reflected by many comments throughout this thread.

On top of the verbal warning the other day, you failed to give me an answer to that. Therefore, I will now use this as further evidence to my case:

1. Some are considered less offensive than others. Think of what you see on TV. Would you hear "**Filtered**" on a daytime TV show? If they needed to use such a word, they usually bleep it out (filter it) or replace it with another word, "crap".
   
3. I see myself as one who isn't gonna be scared to mod a user. One who is more active, and therefore it gives more opportunities to irritate those I warn (rightfully or not)
