Yep, its very annoying. I always asked to be brokered now because its happened to me loads of times in the past. I once had to wait 1-2 days for my broker to be accepted.
I must admit, I have recieved brokers in the past where I forgot to change my title to OFFLINE and the trader had to wait but the difference there is, I just made a mistake and do not do it on purpose and not regularly.

Re: People who put up a forum post then bugger off for hours.
I normally warn whomever trades with me if I know that I'm going to be away, or if I'm going to sleep. They can then decide whether to trade or not. The worst that have happened to me was someone who posted the wrong ID. When he finally realized what happened, he kept silent about it and re-opened his thread. I killed that thread quickly. It's amazing what a large, turquoise post saying "This is a bad trader!" will do...

We badly need something to improve the brokering process. These are some ideas.
Average broker accepting time
Everyone should have a stat called "Average broker accepting time".
When sending a broker, the initiator sees this stat on the page after inputting the ID. Ashamed and embarrassed players can have an option to hide this if they want.
AND/OR
Quick Broker
Players can "Quick Broker"
For small quantities only (values determined by the receiving party). Automatically rejects the broker after an hour. Setting the Naq, ATs and UU "quick broker quantities" to zero will effectively deactivate the feature.

Yup, I'm now waiting 14 hours. Frustrating cos I need to offload the goods I am waiting for.
