well if Jason is making defences better and strikes worse thats a slight step fowards into correcting the imbalances of attack and defence. Not as effective as complete overhaul mind you.

Agreed. Though a complete overhaul would take quite a long time. which would equate to about a year for the update, with quantum and chaos need complete overhauls every 6 & 3 months

last year admin improved massing and acing to see all def's down now he is doing the opposite.

lol, it's just like quantum/chaos. I think make massing less doable, but improve sabotage to a point where it can be used to bring down an attack that can't be massed, all be it expensive

Well Admin told me there was no change in strike or defense power as far as he knew? So IDK.

The race changes were the only change.

Didnt notice anything with my defence or strike changing in Beta. Just the race personalisation enhancement

I logged in and my attack/defense were still tweaked with no explanation and then after playing around with Race thingies they apparently went back to normal.

well today I logged in and I had the same ranks as what I had said before and our alliance power was down like before then after playing for a bit it all changed and it is back to what it was prior to beta not being open to us... so I am totally confused about all that.... only major weird thing is Rek got taken out of leadership and the Admin ID:1 is now the leader and I am still 2IC.......but everything else seems to be the same .....

only new stuff is:

Race Name System Lord
Race Personality Ascended
Race Tech Path Enhanced Naquadah Based
Race Social Structure Enslave and Dominate


I checked lifer attack = same
attack seemed = same
MS was = same
planets = same
have not checked everything but so far looks the same ...

The Admin joined the best alliance in the game DDE and he promises loads of extra goodies for us ....

I have all ready sent my list to him and hope Christmas comes early this year!!

It would be ncie to have a few more updates, although understandably, they need to make these changes ASAP before MGM start breathing down there backs. So I guess let them make the changes, then we can start hopeing for updates.

Dunno why i just looked in here now, but looked at this thread and it would have been a great idea to up the defense and lower the attack, would cut out random massings and make it a bit like the old days were wars werent popping up everywere, make people think twice about massings and make wars extremely costly, to much war makes the game boring after awhile

IMO, anything that increases defense resistance to simple massing is beneficial. Would mean people would need to work together, even an entire alliance, to ring down 1 persons defense.

And before people say this is un-realistic, it's not. The show had several times were a combination of Tauri/Asguard/Jaffa/Tok'Ra banded together to bring down a single common enemy
