I'm not usually a farm target...but if I am I ask politely to stop farming me. It helps most of the time :) If someone asks me the same in a polite way I also stop. But I just hate people who threat and write nasty stuff to me just because they got raided because they had no defence at all.

i have not been attacked when someone spies on me lol

but they do attack me when they are stupid and dont spy and are looking for good raids lol so i havent been attacked for a good while though
