I agree such players were quite amazing players (well Ronaldo & Roberto Carlos had very little chance to ever appear in Euro though ). There's still CR7 though!

I dont think there was ever such a fat man as Ronaldo in the 2006 World Cup thats graced the football pitch let alone the Brazilian national team in the biggest tournament in the world.

Ronaldo is also the one who brought that haircut to fame; that can be classified among the weirdest ever seen in a football field!

You also mention (rightfully) Thierry Henry. One of the best forwards (and players in general) of his generation, probably one of the best french players of all time, best french scorer ever objectively talking result-wise. The ignorant will only remember his mistake handball, the enlightened will remember his career made of skills, dribbles and awesome goals.

I'd like to think so, but, I feel this is the crapest England team for a long time.

Takes the pressure of the players compared to the standard old, "England have to win it, they have to win it, look at the players we've got. If England don't win each match 10-0 I'm going to boo them off the pitch so they know how crap they played"

ya but even if people say expectations are low, those people saying that are also saying that it could be a good thing for england, less pressure, giving them a chance to win it. By doing so they are obliviously increasing expectations..... due to expectations being low.

England will have their best finals yet expectaions are low everyone is saying their going out so a draw and we'll ha extatic

TBH all the groups look really balanced (as in what teams they have in them) all the good teams in 2 groups all the crap in the other 2 apart from C ireland got a pretty easy group luck hey
