Stops people (like me :( ) tabbing the #*$! out of the server and stealing all the naq :smt117

So I suppose it makes things a little fairer...like I have left this farm fest too late and i am pretty stuffed I think lol #-o

as for the write message i think its fixed.

as for the farming on turn and using tabs...i think once each 5 seconds or so is ok...just keep hitting the tab each 5seconds. the difference will be that others who do not 100 tab can also do some farming. maybe they will get to more than they did before. so who you hit first matters. a bit more strategy and not just 'who can hit the buttons the fastest' maybe....
plus with the point #2 -- danger, will robinson!! danger! :) maybe...

the techs do not grow on their own. although i think they did until level 31 or such... let me know if you note any more tech autogrowth but i cannot see where it would do it..

oh - and the race bonuses are in the extra effect (a tauri holding 100 top weapons with supers will be 35% stronger than a repli holding the same) --but-- the cost to get those weapons and units will be the same for each. all 'cost savings' bonuses are removed. its only the strength of the arms/levels/etc that get the bonus....

my biggest concern is #1 point. i dont see how that happens, so let me know that attack ID.

i will have to check into the exacts of realm alert...i think (but not sure) it limits attacks by same player...so 10 people could hit you more or less at once. but one person could only hit you each xx seconds...

i've done a few tests on people (no offense to people...just picking out people that are online / with stats)
so i buy 2 AMS for protection
i farm an inactive WITHOUT doing anything to the box that allows me to deploy AMS
and i lose the 2 AMS without any warning...in my logs it says i launched none

2nd case
i buy 2 AMS
i launch only one at someone
both are used, but only one is deployed

3rd case
I launch 2 AMS on someone, but i have less than 50 percent of their defense
and it gives this error

so not only do they not explode, i only use 16 ATs
so i check it
and it says

Armed Anti-Matter Specialist to send (+1 turn taken per 10 sent): / 3
wth...you can only send 3...which makes the (+1 turn per 10 sent) redundant

btw, for the first two cases, i did not use extra AT to launch the AMS


battle id = 31
is the first inactive i hit...and i lost my AMS during that time
battle id = 216 is the one that works, but i still an AMS that i did not launch

to number 3, yes you have to set war and use 12 ATs+
if you use 15 ATs neutral, you hit for a less amoun than using 11 ATs plus... with war

to number 4, it should say attack defended, which it says 0 naq lost

ok - done:
1) attack at less than half def and get sql error, fixed.

2) AMS disappearing if not sent - fixed (was easier to find once I got that they were not going to battle .. i thought they went if not told to...)

3) 31 techs given to those that did not have it.

4) daily AMS creation stopped. it is now weekly, randomly per account. A bit of a risk in mass farming, but not a serious impediment. no need for the one soldier attack or a 'friend' to clear the way before you attack.

5) i cannot replicate either the '0 naq lost' when you defended, or a defended attack not showing in attacker attack log. In fact, I see my failed attack, and see the attack in the defender account too... all say 'defended'. Can people provide attack IDs so I can check those exact ones?

if you are referring to the AMS killing the attack units, then no this still isn't appearing in attack logs as units lost...or atleast not for me

Still says Your Losses 0

EDIT: wait skip that, i got so use to having to train every turn I now have a few more men then expected as they hadn't been hitting AMS #-o

i guess i could/should add it to teh summary...

i will assume you mean it is not on the summary.... unless you say otherwise. if it is not in the detail, give me the battle ID

This is still happening if you mean that, I attack with 1 drone + 1 merc:

Says 0 got killed.
However when we click details:

1 Attack Merc + 1 Attack Drone got killed.

Admin, the "0 naq stolen" instead of "attack defended" comes from era 20 I believe when you had to have shield action bigger than opponent's strike, if you hit no matter how many people and had 0 def, with big enough strike to get through opponent's defense, it said "0 naq stolen" as the attack wasn't exactly "defended" but the target was left with 0 naq, even though you couldn't steal any. I brought it up to awareness at the time I believe..
Anyway I'm not 100% positive as I wasn't able to do any testing today (missed the entire farm fest ](*,) ) but from what jabu described above I do think that might be the case..Hope I've helped..

Looking pretty good, thanks for fixing everything as much as you possibly could from the suggestions.

One thing that i thought was interesting to have... the "XX players online" bit... and of course the Top UP whatsy...

Well looks like the era is set up as its going to be.

I cant see it going well.. But thats in the design i suppose.
Going to be a wave for destruction and chaos.. nothing is safe..
If kikaz isnt playing he will kick himself. Its his dream wave.

But I think it will be a bit too chaotic. There needs to be some stabalising factor. Something people can focus on, or try to protect. Otherwise nothing is important. Not even rank, because even that is only going to be available at the grace of everyone else.
As soon as anyone wants you dead.. it will happen. and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Not now.. or even endgame.

I think i've accrued too many hostile intentions over the last few years to even think about competing in this one... But then again.. who hasnt?

I guess ill spend the wave trying and accrue some more. Shouldn't be hard :-D

double agree / bump / make this happen / gogogogo
stablising factor...i've thought about it many times

the only way you can barely get by is having

lots of defense supers, and an uber anticovert to back it up
that way AMS can't work unless you have half their defense, and you can't sab their defense cuz their anticovert is too good

2 more things I have noticed over this era, apart from the AMS thing that is muchly annoying at this point of the game...
The idea behind the AMS is good, but it needs a little more refinement, ie, AMS should not be deploying from a defending army, and able to kill miners on the attacking army...
Honestly, I NEVER bring my miners out to battle, so how the hell are defending AMS's able to reach my home planet to kill miners...

Anyway, the 2 things I have issue with now;

1) How to calculate top UP, there is no pop-up over the total/day UP anymore, this is something that needs to come back... we all NEEEEDS it...

2) You've left the galactic alert level thingo in place, but you've also hit us with another 'unseen' alert level device, you cannot attack ANYTHING more then 5 times in 30 seconds...
That is total crap, so not only can someone go on critical and you cant attack them more then xx in xx seconds, you cant even attack/farm anybody more then 5 times in 30 seconds as an extra incentive to not use your AT's...

Should lose one or the other, have a galactic alert level or have 5 attacks in 30 seconds, but don't have both... its silly :(
