How often does this happen to you?
I'm in the middle of what is probably my 4th such encounter, where someone makes a post selling UU, they post "broker me" and then bugger off and don't accept it even when it's less than 30 minutes after their OP.
If I sell, I make sure I'm ONLINE and that when I go OFFLINE that I make sure it's noted in my thread. It's bad form to leave people waiting is it not?
Why do people post up "broker me" and then go away for hours at a time?
People who put up a forum post then bugger off for hours.

Re: People who put up a forum post then bugger off for hours.
It is why whenever I sell/buy stuff I ask people to contact me on msn before brokering me, and I tend to do the same when brokering others.
Is very annoying though.

But if a mod says something about a 4 day old market post that says "Online now" they get hammered for being "to strict" or "bias"
Yes its very annoying

Yup.. they put it up.. say online.. and then leave for hours.
Hate that so much.
But ditto.. 90% of the time I ask people to broker me. Not the other way around. The other 10% of the time I am taught why I do things the other way 90% of the time...

I always say to PM or MSN me once a broker is set because my messenger will pop up a message on my computer to let me know. I am usually sitting at my computer, but only log into SGW a few times to day unless I have a reason to.
9 times out of 10 people will set a broker, but not send the PM or MSN message, and I won't know that there is a broker set... I have better things to do than sit on the broker page refreshing all day long, if people aren't going to follow explicit instructions I could care less if they have to wait half a day to get their crap.

I hate these people, its so annoying when you have 3 brokers up and none of them accept!!!
A karma feature should be put into the trade section where people can rate each player on how well the trade went, far better than a feed back thread although both should be used.

There is not much that you can do against people that don't accept their trade brokers for hours.

Maybe a "cancel trade" button on the sender's end - can only be used after 30 minutes or something?
Eh, that could be abused.
Sorry, had another trade that took beyond a day and just all.. angry about it.

Re: People who put up a forum post then bugger off for hours.
This is one of the things that annoys me the most.
I have NEVER done it to anyone, and I NEVER will. I always close my trading threads whenever I am offline. If i dont have the person who i am trading with on my MSN to make sure they are online and are going to accept, then i make them broker me.

I thought about it - but usually they are on PPT.
And then two days later I forget about it cuz there are a whole bunch of other people who tick me off.
It's sorta like a 20 account queue, if it gets filled up too fast the last ones just drop off to make room for others.
Maybe I gotta upgrade...
