Have been thinking about the same.
I like the idea as how its posted. Maybe different numbers/amounts.
More points if you have low physical stats? A bit like how more planets are given to those who enter the arena with low physical levels, so starters will have a benefit.

I'm not inclined to use APP though, thinking of something else...

I was considering that then I remembered why the thread creator chose to use APP, AT's would massively skew who could get where, it will eventually turn into the person with the most planets gets the most AT's (after the dust settles down from a few fights)...Although might work..

Sounds too difficult against benefit...wouldnt really motivate me to get to rank 1,2 or 3
What about better exchange rates...so instead of:
times 10,000,000 Dark Matter Units into 1,000 Ascended Life Force
it could be....
times 10,000,000 Dark Matter Units into 1,050 Ascended Life Force
Something smallish.
could be an extra 20 life force for every rank greater than 4,
so, rank 3 gets +20, rank 2 gets +40, rank 1 gets +60

Higher LF cache generation, would give channeling a reason to exist again too lol

heh true, but would it be worth it though? Guess it depends on how much you generate...I could base it on proportionality of the accounts total strength.
Ok so it appears you get roughly 25 mill in your cache per turn, really depends on your levels but it would be around there.
Bump it up to 2 bill per turn? That will give an extra 100 bill (1 quad dmu) per day to rank 1.
This is practically synonymous with APP, but eh, not much other things we can choose between.

So are we only looking at ranks 1,2 and 3?

Most likely, maybe 1-5 or 1-10

id say top 50, to at least let the people with lesser planets have a chance of gettin the GaP (glory ascention point) range, if its only top 10 then it will be down to who has the most amount of planets

Re: A reward for those who put their planets at risk
Absolutely agree on this one.
Now the bonus needs to be good enough for people to actually fight for rank. When they will fight for rank, they will consequently risk more of their planets and all of that will make it more interesting
Also this bonus needs to be set up in a way that prevents abuse. Meaning it must not be a bonus which works on a short term, so that people just gain ranks and drop them when they have recieve it.
But also the bonus must not be too big, so as to not give them too big of an advantage
I propose the following:
1% to your total CER for people in the 250 -> 100 rank range
2% of your total CER for people between 100 -> 50 rank range
3% of your total CER for people between 50 -> 25 rank
4% of your total CER for people between 10 -> 1 rank
perhaps we can give a guy at rank 1 5% so it actually means something more
Now that isnt all that much
if you have a huge CER of 2 bils per day that is 2,01 or 2,02 or 2,03 or 2,04 or 2,05
example:
person A ranked 1st
person B ranked 251th
both have 2 bils CER both 0 planets
person A would theoretically get 205 bils in those 100 days
person B would theoretically get 200 bils
now since we all know that after 5 bils your growth gets more crippled with every step you take further reallity would be more like couple hundred mills of planet difference in that time depending on how big of a planet count you already have
And since the person in rank 1 also most likely risks a lot of planets all is balanced enough
So nothing of that big of importance that it would had the potential to unbalance anything but enough that it would actually be worth to stay in the top 250, 100, 50, 25, 10, 1

Wouldn't that kinda defeat the purpose then? People loosing planets to get more planets? Perhaps something in addition to this...

Re: A reward for those who put their planets at risk
well they would only lose them if there would be conflict , but yes, I liked the APP per turn idea someone suggested.
I was also thinking that people up there could get their TOC boosted in a sense, risk your planets but in reward get your TOC boosted
again not by that much perhaps
1% for 250 - 100 rank
2% for 100 - 50 rank
3% for 50 - 25 rank
4% for 25 - 10
5% for 10 - 1
perhaps rank 1 gets a 6%
If your TOC is 5 bils having 5% increase does help a bit and is nice, nothing that it would again destroy the balance, but I agree with you something more to that growth needs to be added to make it interesting and to make people fight for the ranks.
Well if you risk planets you get an option to more easily deascend people.
But as soon as you get massed/ dropp rank = you are not as powerful as before that ability to banish people from this plain of the existence easier is lost
Only the most important entities should posses it.

Re: A reward for those who put their planets at risk
Conflict would ensue quite quickly, if someone couldn't muster enough planets to surpass the actions of rank 1, 2, 3... etc they would fallback to the second option of massing.
As for TOC, I have a hunch it was mentioned before... either way that really only creates atmosphere for a select group of people. If you weren't in the process of descending someone, or otherwise wanting to begin that process it would be kinda pointless to get a TOC increase for putting the majority of your planets at risk...
