Really enjoyed the first season of true blood, although i finished watching the first season months ago, second season starts soon , I'm really enjoying The mentalist as well at the mo. ~Thamuz~

Right i've watched the 1st Episode of Psyche and while i enjoyed it i found it different too The Mentalist, Psych is more of a comedy where as The Mentalist is more of a drama, suffice to say i'll be downloading the rest of Psych but still watching The Mentalist, they both push different buttons for me. ~Thamuz~

Not with a few alterations just 2 of the same ingriedents, police and guy helping police with a special talent, ones a dramedy (is that a word?) which is mainly to make you laugh, the other is a bit more adult orientated. Psych doesn't seem as if its real enough for me, nearly all tongue in cheek, where as The Mentalist has a bit more depth and back story. but thats just my opinion. ~Thamuz~

its true, mentalist is gonna have a deeper more serious tone, but that doesn't mean its not a knock off of the idea

Lol, you can't really say that tho, coz you can pick any show thats on tv these days and argue the case that its a knock off coz of something similar in the storyline or a character from a show made before it. just the nature of tv today, most things have been done, the real test is for the people making the show to make it enjoyable to watch.
