Series 4 Episode 10

Zeratul wrote:
Finally Sookie used her glowy power in a case that wasnt merely desperate self-defense... Not too surprised that power of the faerie is far superior to the power of a possessed witch. All that is needed now is for her to actually start trying to learn control.

One question we get about her now is whether the power she connects with in the faerie is unlimited or not, and if not, whether it will be used up or if someone is supplying her with power.

The Jessica/Hoyt/Jason triangle will no doubt continue to be a mess. Its obviously setting up for something, though we're not sure exactly what.

We rather liked how Terry took care of Andy in this episode. He's probably the only one that can actually get him of the V. Jason's got the knowledge to do it, but not the position.

I agree nice to see Sookie use her power, though still a bit cheesy she can only use it uncontrolled to save one she loves ( still not at will ). Also nice to see Sookie reading minds more often again but not enough comedy thrown in as in the 1st series reading naughty thoughts and such by accident.

Jess/Jason/Hoyt, yep still a mess and got to be a fight waiting to happen in there somewhere. But also boring as they string it along.

Terry looking after Andy, yes all very nice drama, but again I prefer Andy on V, far more entertaining, as is Terry when he's going all war vet crazy.

The massacre ? Well not so much really, very short and lets face it with Eriks strength he should have been able to kill everything in the room in seconds.

Terra trying to escape ? I assume that was the teleport spell Marny/Antonia used to leave the massacre went it went wrong. Guessing Sookie, Laf, Terra etc are all back inside the magic shop as hostages. Even if the weapons Erik & Bill have could get through the protection spell they wont use them with Sookie inside, Standoff.

Tommy dead, good. Through I still dont see why he didnt fight back, or why Sam needs a gun. Clearly Sam & Elcide will find Elcides misses in bed with pack leader and a nice little fight I hope. Who will kill who ?

Looks less likely the wolves will have any part in the final battle, they got their own little side thing going on.

Predictions, really not sure at this point

I still think the witch will be killed by an unlikely hero, maybe Laf, Terra or even Jason/Andy/Terry going in SWAT style.

Questions

Who will Sookie end up with ? Erik or Bill ? Or will she vanish again into the Fairy realm ?

Will Erik, Bill, Pam & Jess survive ? Bills the most likely for self sacrifice, would hate to lose Jess or Erik, Pam dont care about.

What happened to the Panther pack ? Will they return with all with Jasons offspring ? Jason with a dozen panther babies lol

Who will finally kill that pain in the add 'Auth vamp woman' ?

If Jess survives who will she end up with ? Jason or Hoyt ?
Overall a good episode, far better than other recent ones and since there are only 2 more episodes to go things are finally coming together for the big finish and series cliffhanger

HBO has renewed the contract and series 5 has the go ahead for 2012 :D

Originally just cause I like vamp stuff and Anna Paquin is a total hottie, but if you like one thing enough to make you watch you soon get drawn into the stories/plots and other characters.

Not to everyones taste, post a review of a show you like to watch and see if you can find fellow die hard fans.

I read the books. Not a huge fan of the tv series. I just like the eye candy. 8-[

Its a decent show with a decent storyline. Not perfect, but then, no show is perfect. Each show will have both ups and downs.

It feels like twilight with sex so I'm not too intrested. Also I cant relate to female protagonists well enough to read a book where there's only one protagonist and who is female.

Being female helps me out in that respect. :-D

Also.... True Blood is so far from Twilight. Firstly, these guys can act. Secondly, there is an actual plot. Thirdly, they aren't emotionally stunted, idiotic characters. Fourthly, the writer actually knew vampire lore. And so on, but I would go on forever. **Filtered** Twilight and its **Filtered** ruination of good writing. Teens will forever be complete and absolute idiots thanks to their **Filtered** belief that Bella is a good role model and her **Filtered** face vampire is the ideal boyfriend. *kills things*

Twilight is a teeny-cheesy-highschool-drama, the only similarity is a they both contain vamps & you may as well be saying Dracula is like Buffy

Well, twilight isn't all horrible. But when compared to TB, it has about as much to do with vampire lore as Stargate has to do with it.

But back to TB being better...
For one thing, there's blood. And weapons. And deaths that aren't merely shattering statues.

If you think that is all TB is about, then you need to think again...
Finally an episode where things happened...

Deaths happened, Marnie died, fairies returned, sookie showed that she can actually use her powers a bit more voluntarily, as well as act all innocent...

Its fairly obvious that the hoyt/jason/jessica triangle is a long story for next season...

It would seem that wiccans can do a lot more varied stuff than fairies, but they do not have even a fraction of the raw power that fairies have. Maybe Sookie will actually start to learn real control over her powers?
It rather fits that just when andy is getting over the V issues, he gets stuck right in the middle of fairy business. There's hope for his crazy acts yet...

that last blast at the end was also interesting.
Anyways, we're just thinking a bit too... when a shifter kills a family member it becomes a skinwalker. What happens when a were does it?
Hoyt/Jason/Jess - I was gutted Jess never turned Jason when they were blown up, would have been perfect timing, could even have been by accident trying to save him. Still might be time for a punch up in the last episode, maybe a cliffhanger where Hoyt or Jason die and we dont know which one.

Sookie's power was not 'voluntary' IMO. She could hear Jason thinking that Erik & Bill were about to die and once again her power surfaced to save the the ones she loves.

Andy & a Fairy ??? That just weird, but him being sworn to protect her must come in at some point. Protect her against who ??? Sookie ? Vamps ?

Sam - Why did he wimp out and leave Elcide to clean up ? Not like he hasnt killed before.

Elcide - Im guessing killing an Alpha makes you the new Alpha. I recon we will see the pack bow down to him and make him leader. Evil Elcide and a rampant wolf pack could be for next series ???

Marnie / Laf - Well Marnies body is dead, but then she got a new one. Damn that Lafiette must be as easy to possess as he his to pick up, everyone seems to take him over. Not sure where thats going but a second final fight is on offer.

Erik & Bill - Getting on ? Agreeing with each other ? Both committing murder in front of Sookie ? No no no this cant be right, they must both have plots / agenda's. And unless sending Pam away was part of a scam she will want revenge probably on Sookie since Erik picked her.

Still wondering what happened to the Panthers, would be quite funny is all his new kiddies & their mums show up at Jasons house when Jess is with him.

It would seem that to some form, Sookie's use of light powers (rather than just mindreading) is fueled by intense feelings, generally related to rage or fear.
But it also seems that it was a more intentional release this time than previously. Perhaps training comes with repeated use?

Turning someone in the TB universe isnt as easy as in other vampire mythoi. We're not sure exactly on the steps, but we know they include this:
- V draining H
- V blood donation to H
- Burial of 1 or both
we get the feeling this mess wont be done by next episode...

Andy&Fairy = probably one of the next season-stories

Sam/alcide:
Sam left to tell his shifty lover more than abandoning. We also get the feeling that cleaning up might be wise to do without the child present.

We also think that killing packmaster means becoming packmaster. (king is dead long live the king)
Especially if the killer has the will to lead. No doubt Alcide will push some honor into that pack.

Someone needs to teach Laf. How to keep his mouth shut to spirits... (Maybe the grandpa will return again?)

Erik & Bill: It does seem odd that they like each other for once.

Hopefully panthers will return next season.

I think turning someone is pretty much the same as most vamp books/shows/firms. We seen Bill do it with Jess as you said, drain blood, give vamp blood, wait for resurrection. The whole grave thing seemed to be more for bonding the maker & made than the turning itself. We also saw Jess try & fail to turn/revive someone, was she to young ? Was the guy dead to long ? Never really explained. I would assume the draining of blood doesnt have to be by a vamp, if someone dies of blood loss from a accident and got given fresh vamp blood on the edge of death that should work too.

I think we will see an ebil Alcide, he was filled with rage by whatsHerNames betrayal, I recon we will see a new meaner side to him as his AlphaDog kicks in.
