As much as I would enjoy telling the entire forum exactly what you did Earendil and as much as I would like to post the responses you gave, no. I have taken that to your boss and I'll happily wait and see what Admin Jason has to say to you.

To the point of this thread. I am here to give you some feedback!

Allow me to start with the previous instances and issues regarding forum team members abusing their power. Now with all due respect in recent times the abuse of power has been acts of bullying (I'd have a look in the spam temple atm...) and of course using this exclusive powers for personal gain.

I invite you to correct me if I am wrong, but is manipulating the filter to change E arendil (without the double dots) to Earendil, with the double dots an abuse of that administrative power? Wouldn't it be nice if we could all have our names filtered to have a capital letter and any needed accents or beyond? Are you right to have such a personal thing that you've decided to bestow upon yourself? I mean some of us have personal titles and even colours that we have had to earn and have been gifted with, but none of us have simply taken them because we have the power. It's something to think about anyway and of course I am open as ever to other answers that may force me to withdraw this accusation.

I next extend my point to the quick closing of any threads that are apparently opposing the forum admins decisions. You've closed no less than two questioning your decisions to remove myself and Digi and another one calling for my reinstatement. Are we not free to post on these forums anymore? Is any thread protesting what appears to be your boundless idiocy going to be immediately removed?

I offer you this feedback.

Firstly, you need to start answering the call i'm giving you. If you keep intentionally ignoring me as you have been it wont help you, it will aid my position.

Secondly, stop being power mad. You're not allowed to lock threads that oppose you, you're not allowed to manipulate the filter for your personal benefits. It's a free community and if people are not happy with you, you need to answer them, you have no right to silence peoples free voice when it is not in breach of the forum rules and you have a responsibility to listen and reply to each and everyone of us no matter what tone we take with you, especially when you deserve it.

Thirdly, sending someone an informative PM detremental to their forum 'employment' in full knowledge it's pointless and during a time their not around to defend themselves or even receive it is utterly unprofessional and absolute cowardice, so to is intentionally ignoring them afterwards.


I have tried to discuss issues with you via PM's... but the three of you seek to ignore me despite your offers to answer my questions. Well soon you'll answer to Jason and now you'll answer me in public and you'll justify yourself to the community less you wish to make the mistakes of the past. I owe you no respect at current so don't expect it and I have one justification for it.

About the Name thing, I seem to recall EtL doing something like that with the Shaitan account, so that word auto changed to god, or something along those lines. That didnt go down well then, But that probaly was abuseing the position, the thing Earendil has done is abit of a grey area.

Anyways, Semper im glad you didn't post hopefully what you said you would. Now for the threads of recent that were closed, it was not only Eärendil who felt these threads needed to be closed. I wont speak for them, but I will say I can assume as much. The threads were about the same thing. 3 of them. If im not mistaken. Next, it is very much an internal matter that should stay as much. You preached about perfesionalism, and well, keeping things private. Yes, its difficult to do this expecally when things arn't being handled right in private, but as you have said, Jason has been informed. So a little more time and this could have been delt with.


I guess all we can do now is wait for Jason.

How do you expect things to be handled in private, when we are ignored in private? The only reason I came to the forums with my issue is because I was not getting anywhere via private communication. Despite everything, communication is still lacking!

The current administration's policy of seemingly clamping down on dissent and immediately locking threads such as this one is inherently flawed. Issues such as this one need to be discussed, by both users and staff, as they fundamentally affect both. This section of the forum is entitled 'Forum and Mod Feedback.'

I'm confident that discussion of recent changes to the staff falls well into the periphery of such a description. I certainly hope that anybody who presumes to lock with the effete 'staff issue' defense thinks twice before doing so. I don't know enough about the situation to take a side, but I nonetheless believe that it should be discussed.

I'm curious to know why Semper was removed from GM. I don't think his three warnings happend during his modship in misc, isn't it?
I think it's too harsh to remove from green-ness for this, unless I missed something on the issue..

to my knowledge Semper did not get fired due to him having 3 warnings. So yes,you do have missed something.

I can give you my personal assessment, but I guess it is the Admin's stance you are interested in.

Even though I provided some feedback on the issue, I cannot be sure that it will provide a complete overview of the situation.

Further, I do not think that this is an issue for the public forums but for the admins and Semper. If one of them decides to share it with you, then so be it.

As Clarkey pointed out though, funny of you to answer the least important and less than trivial matter. You've been all but silent on the relevant issues here and in the PM 'exchange' Zeratul.

There is a difference between giving feedback on an issue, or on the job the Admins are doing, and discussing and internal staffing issue such as Semper being fired.

I locked the other threads about staff issues, so don't go and blame Earendil for it, although he did know about it at the time. If you want to give feedback to any Moderator or Administrator that's fine and I'm sure the thread will remain open. If you want to discuss STAFF issues (and by STAFF I mean Moderators being suspended, fired, etc) then you need to PM the Admins or even Moderators if that's more appropriate NOT start a public thread.

This thread is half feedback and half point fingers and lynch. I'm not gonna lock it, now, but if you continue to discuss things such as Clarkey's past actions, Semper being fired, DaDigi being fired, Tetrismonkey being suspended, I will close it. Perhaps I am being unfair but I do not think so, you can certainly PM me about it, or certainly an Admin or my GM can over rule me on it and I will harbor no ill feelings.

They leave us no other option. This began as feedback, feedback needs to be detailed and discussed by other members as to better give a more varied set and ergo a better range of thoughts. As such there will be discussion and part of it IS their actions which include my sacking.

It's just tuff. You lock it, i'll just make the thread again and again and again and there are NO forum rules against making threads.

We have a right to discuss these issues and you have no right to stop us, especially considering the admins have forced the exhaustion of all other options.

Admins aren't the only ones that have had their names filtered on the forum to something else. GMs, mods and regular users have to in the past.

We'll all do our best..but you have to understand the gravity of some of these points within the niche of this community. The forum team have burned us before with their power and now they're doing it again...

From an admin point of view, i can entirely see why mods and the admins might feel semper is causeing all sorts of trouble, but as far as i can tell from the facts, that the PM's that were sent didnt address the problem and that he was being "ignored" on msn, you've kind of, hate to say it, brought it on yourselfs.

Nip it in the bud right now, and one of you get on MSN and have a good thrashing, You may all think Semper wants an arguement, thats not what he wants, he wants a conversation.

Ive always enjoyed how Deni and Semper seem to come up at odds, they are so much more like each other than they are ever likely to realise, And with deni (i hope you dont mind me bringing this up...) there was a not too decimilar situation, not going into specifics wereby we didnt promote her to a GM role, and didnt give any sort of explanation. After a few days of trying to figure out, I and Lore both accepted it was our faults for not haveing explained anything, or at least, not explained properly, got on msn with Deni, and talked it out.

You need to be open, honest and accept the consequences of your actions to be an admin. Noone is saying semper was fired for no reason, or whatever, but you made him a supermod, then you unmade him a supermod, its a volentary position, and the guy wants answers. Just explain it, hell this thread isnt needed, talk to him personally, then he can come here, say job done situation resolved and can close it himself! Things like this dont need to happen, and only happen because people let it get so far.

The best piece of advice a previous admin gave me... Listen to the advice your peers give you, at the time you were told that you should make an effort and that the PM thing was wrong, but you refused to budge, Make it right.

I still <3 Ear and Zer and Bazsy. But you guys are frustrateing yourselfs and others, by makeing more work out of something than you need too.

Buck, right now I don't have time to sit down for an hour or w/e to talk to someone on msn. I'm packing/moving as well as going on a short vacation after I do so, that is why i've been keeping it to msn.
