Origins Status

First let me just apologize for disappearing for as long as I did without a word.

Sadly Origins wasn't as popular as we thought it was going to be. Other projects (which I cannot reveal details at this time) took priority over Origins.

We are going to take a closer look at origins over the next few days. If you have suggestions for the direction of the server please post them below.

We will only close the server if the community wants us to.

I doubt anyone wants that. You should however implement things to even game-play and some novelties. Techs, Cov levels,a wep or two, etc.

Woot, good to see you are back.
I think one of most waited updates of origins is adding the strongest weapon (costing around 167k naq) by adding the last weapons tech to unlock it. I'm not sure that's most wanted update, but it's among those.

Yay Gary (^_^)

OK straight into suggestions

1 - Scrap Attack Fatigue, farming inactives is far more profitable than someone with a defence will be on this server for a long time and if you have attack fatigue added with the heavy losses of actually farming a defence then you find there really is no point.

2 - We need new techs, I don't know why but it would be awesome anyway.

3 - Sabbing needs to be made more effective, it takes 5+ days to sab away a defence at the current rate, that's far too long, even if it only took 2 days it would be better but make the weapon destroyed rate better.

I'd make more suggestions but they are mostly thinking of bringing in factors from main into origins and I don't think many people would like those (Motherships, raiding mainly)

Perhaps something new with alliances, a search by alliances option?

i started a while back its lacking allot of the thing si find fun in a game.

Technologies.
different weapons
bigger banks /more turns
a twist/objective that makes u want to log on daily to try get 1 step closer.


and for the whole Franchise NEEDS ADVERTISING xD

cheaper up. not to cheap thou just enough to speed the game up just that little bit

scrap Fatigue its pointless

maybe add ascension but like in Q just not as powerful

UP isn't so bad, it works next level = 100*(current level)^2
It is meant to be a very slow growing server but growth is all relevant really. I guess halving the cost could speed things up but what about the accounts that have already spent all that extra naq on their UP? Would they get refunded or an UP boost?

Agree, defence fatigue saves from losses once weapons are gone though so it should just be slowed down so that losses are still suffered but not in a way that entire account can be wiped out overnight.

would whipe all units from accounts while giving some sort of boost

the up needs changing to increase the speed of the game its basicly at a stand still atm

not asking for it to be changed alot just enough

I don't think all fatigue should be removed. Defence perhaps, attack no. I say this because it encourages team work this way. If you attack gets weaker the more you hit, then it means you need to bring allies.

Another interesting possibility is something i suggested for main. But you probably work well in origins. Having 2 persuit paths. For example, you can ascend, and get rounded bonuses like main, OR you can improve your racial technology. So ascending you get blessing and rounded stats, but improving your strength it becomes an awesome asset. Like having a 50% chance of rapid evacuation when fully upgraded verses 30% chance of attack or defence being doubled

Also, i think we should scrap the bank/naq increase. Make it so as its relative to the amount of units on your account.

i think i just shed a tear that i saw Gary come back :cry:

some new weapons would be nice, dont really like attack fatigue (but could live with it), if we change up somehow, what about people that have high up already? Getting rid of bank sizes increase with naq would be sweet. I dont think i would MIND a mothership on here (cant be exactly like main) because hey they is a space war game, how are we going to get from planet to planet. probably have more suggestions later
