The problem in the old origins was that there were people who bought others' accounts for main resources to fight wars (mainly the dRUNK MONKIES war) and used said accounts as cannon fodder to kill all units on it and carry on to mass an alliance. While abandoning an account after having dried it of its troops to avoid being called a cheater/multi account holder.
I don't know if it's related though, just giving information of what problems faced in old origins were.

Covert and AC was so over powered previously, that there was no point in having any other stats. Also, sabotage was not causing spy losses. I had to address these, and the changes are listed in the covert tweak in the Bugs section.
I don't believe it is underpowered at this point. The damage done is based on the ratio of your covert power to the enemy. So it doesn't matter what the number is, it causes the same ammount of damage. And I removed what I considered a bug, where if you had enough power to destroy a weapon, but they had under a certain number of weapons, none were destroyed

Why do you believe weapons are unbalanced? I'm considering removing the strongest weapon from the buying option (the ones with ~2500 strength), as it seems to be making having an attack almost pointless

I like to think it is in beta. Balancing the game, and finding final bugs, before release :-D

I second what SoL says about sabotage. Way too overpowered. I was sabbed for weeks daily by someone in the old origins who tried to stop me from buying more AC levels and/or stealing the naq I had out for said levels, but I farmed enough to buy back weapons each time and he didn't manage to prevent me from buying two high levels in about a month.
I was answering for weapons unbalanced in my previous post, btw.

If the code is the same as what I got, then there's is a massive bug where you don't loose spies for sabbing unless you fail. That coupled with the fact your covert powered doubled every level... Yes, I agree it was overpowered. Not anymore :-D

okay, covert i can understand :)
Weapons though, you only need to look at the power difference to realise that :P
In main, when jason focused more on a defencive play stile when he reduced selling price of attack weapons it kinda made main boring.
With things like def and strike it should be totally equal (unless you get a race bonus to one)
that way you dont have to get like 5 times the strike weapons and units just to equal a defence :P

I can believe that. The weapons I believe hold similar strengths, and the final power is based off the race, as you suggest.

Though, as I said, I probably need to remove the ability to purchase the 2500 strength weapons, either during beta, or for the live release. But thanks for the input :-D

Really? I onl have the defence one that's big, my biggest attack weapon is only like 1/5th the power of my biggest defence weapon

Are you the "Human" race type? They are the aggressive ones, and I believe have the attack weapon of a similar strength

Yes, hence I said I probably need to remove them
