Post Tournament updates

Ok so picking up from updates that were supposed to be done aggess ago (but due to time constraints were withdrawn), the increase in weapons will go ahead, a few things will happen though:
- There will be an ingame announcement a few days prior to the following happening.
- A randomized ppt ~2 days will be applied to all users, users will not gain income for the ppt duration.
- As soon as the ppt hits, all weapons will be sold at the pre-update selling price, defence weapons will be sold down to a minimum of the defence supers trained. E.g If I had 500 mill super defs and 2 bill defence weps, 1.5 bill def weps will be sold. The powerful weapons will be the last to go of course.

The lack of income on the ppt is to stave the farm fest.
Note: Weapons will only be matched to the super def, not normal def planets, this is to allow for a defence instead of users scrambling to get dmu to rebuild quickly.

EDIT- clarification:

The Update wont be before Nov 28th, most likely will occur very early Nov 28th.

So, if I get this straight. You are frakking over people who dont want to train super defs by not letting normal defs to be armed after this update.

You are one frakked up man. ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

No Rudy :P

All that's happening is that the price of weapons is being increased. To stop everybody buying billions of cheap weps now, then selling them all for oodles of DMU after the update, Sol is going to sell any weps that you have, for the old price, tha are not currently being used by 'super' units. Since you can't untrained 'super' units its fairly sensible to assume you would have them armed, so those weps will not be sold. You cant do the same for 'normal' units because you can untrained them. To prevent somebody just training 20billion defence 'normal' units and arming them for cheap prior to the update, then just selling and untraining after he update for oodles of DMU profit, weps for 'normal' units will be sold for you prior to the price increase.
Since you get a free PPT after the update you can re-arm your 'normal' units after the price increase and retain a defence.

Nothing about this update will prevent you arming 'normal' units.

Is the weapons becoming so much more expensive that it would be worth doing that? If not you are still taking a loss.

Sec lemme dig up the thread...viewtopic.php?f=32&t=189460
read everything before you comment.

People stockpiled weapons beforehand at the low rates and sold them when the prices increased, tasty profits were made. So yeah, something like this is necessary.

In addition, to counter the recent CS and soon to be weapon increases untrained planets will produce slightly more income.

That would be counter to the intention of the PPT. ;)

So what is the new weapon cost going to be? Will they be stronger?
