Some one in utter rage just called me a tank on call of duty.

Now being the casual gamer I am, I do understand the definition and role of a tank in games such as WoW and other hero based senarios.

What I don't understand is the role of a tank in a FPS where everyone is attributed equal health.

Please discuss if there is any definition.

P.S. I was in a free for all which makes tanking even more daft

I thought so, but I have heard it many times from different players. (Not all to me though)

I would just take it as a compliment.

It is a compliment, on an FPS like COD it just means someone going out and Tanking the game by dominating the other team in comparison to their own

Compliment, imo. "You are such a tank.. unstoppable force of metal, a machine of death."

Take it as a chance to brag.

Its a compliment like when you dominate other team... i been called the same by many then i searched its meaning lol..
