* lower ranked players get more turns, per turn.

Lower rank = higher ranking. (Rank 1 is lower than 2, because 1<2, but a higher ranking.)

Rank 1 gets 8 turns extra per turn on top of natural generation.
Rank 2-5 get 6 extra turns per turn.
Rank 6-10 get 4 extra turns.
Rank 11-50 get 2 extra turns.

I don't know. I suppose the idea is to mass more of the top 10.

Influence power has nothing to do with anything. I think it's barely considered in the rank...

why is it things are always tipped in the top players favour?

might be better to give bonuses to those trying to grow bit like the CER

but then again, I could use a hell of a lot more turns.. they dont refill naturally quickly enough .. so if somehow time spent playing could be factored in somehow..

We just talked about this in server skype chat.

I think you might be mistaken in thinking the 'top' players, are necessarily those with the biggest planet count, and the ones most benefited by this update.

Even with influence rank only counting 50% as to other stats, the 'average joe' with 10bil planets or so, is going to need to build much higher stats than a 30bil planet guy, to achieve bonus.

Since he has a choice, to mass the 40 ranks above him, to make his entry into top 50 easier, or to afk for 6 months, I think you can guess what most people are gonna choose.
