Currently cost of Unit Production is only at full value for the player with the top UP. Everyone else gets cheaper UP depending on how far away from the Top UP they are.

This feature was originally introduced as a way to prevent people gaining an unassailable lead. (First raiding was removed - then UP link was introduced).

But the unassailable leads were only possible because of the feeding that was present at the time. With feeding a problem of the past (by and large), and raiding making a reappearance, I think it would also be good to remove the link to top UP.

I have been away for a while.. so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm forgetting something.

The only worry I would have, is that it makes it harder/impossible for people who join late to be even mildly competitive.

So maybe change it, so that if you have 1/2 of top up.. It starts getting cheaper. But no discount if you have more than 50% of top UP. If that's not too complex

This is the best suggestion of all time.

I like it, and people that join an era late should expect to be behind, you don't win the 100 meters sprint when you start 5 seconds behind everyone. Plus there are other ways that you can enjoy a era of quantum without playing for rank for those that do start late.
