Discord

I remember we used to have an IRC, then mass groupchats on msn...
Have we thought about having a Discord channel? It doesn't even need to be player controlled, support could set it up, or it could be modded by the forum mods?
IDK, just seemed worth throwing it out there

I don't even know what this Discord is...
Most people are on skype. TF have their own chat thing because.. well skype is skype.

Discord lets you create a server...
This server will have text channels that you can choose permissions for, so you could set people as "Retired" "Mod" "Admin" or set people by alliance/empire, thus having their own chat there, it also gives the option for multiple voice channels that people can come into/leave as they please... It's quite easy to use and barely touches CPU, etc
