Right with you there mate, If people who could not get the grasp of systems as fast as I can got sent to the showers, there would be few of you left.

If on the other hand, people who disn't spell well, went, well it's zyclon-b for me.

Do not despair m'lady. There will always be a special space for the literate, like there is a special place for those with manners.

All the more so because they are not common.

But then again, a few hundred years ago the majority of the population could not write at all. Is this progress?

A few hundred years before that, they could. ;)

I'ld reject the suggestion that 4-600 years ago the majority of the population was literate.
But far from me to oppose you in public.

Special place in hell for George Hazard for making me notice all my spelling grammatical and punctuation errors today.
Or beatification for being one of the saints who reminded me to lift my game.
