Because it's absolutely stupid to cry over spilt forum milk. The mods haven't eaten your first born child - people need to stop acting like they have. If you're unhappy with the modding here - we're not forcing you to stay and use this forum.

But yes, if you feel that arguing over the moderation of an online gaming forum is what you need to do - LOL I kinda feel bad for y'all.

Doesn't seem that hard to me. It's kinda silly to complain about an online forum and how it's run only to keep using it..

Excuse me? There is more than one way to find out an IP (easy ways) than just clicking the button...

Please - if it was done deliberatly maliciously (not saying that it wasn't) then they would have found another way.

Okay I got this thing.

Issue is:

that picture is originally posted by a mod in the mod section asking how said user could have ips from all over the world.
The picture is 2 months old already.
The forum user with those ips is not playing the game actually.

That means:
-Someone made a trick with tokra
-Someone gave out information posted in the mod section again.
-Someone sent a guy here to make some trouble in the forum telling that a mod gave him those ips to mass it.

i never said the intent was to mass the person behind that ip ive been told malicious use of the IP adress was intended

Giving out IPs is a very serious matter. One which affects the online security of everybody who uses these forums. It's not just a game issue, either, as I know many of the people who play here also use their computers for work and business reasons. There's far more at stake here than mere 'spilt milk.'

if it is ips being revealed you are against, then you cannot say anything against regular moderators, as no normal moderator can give out, or even check ips...

also, mods are not supposed to reveal ips to anyone... hence why regular mods cant check them...

I'm not against it for the sake of being against it, or because I'm looking for an excuse to cause trouble and berate the moderators. I find the fact this information got out, from wherever and whoever, very troubling, and I'm glad it was looked into and found not to be as pertinent a concern.
