I am also extremely perturbed at how both sides have acted throughout this war.

Yes, it's extremely funny to watch, however, it is getting ridiculous and extremely aggressive.

I am very much unbiased at I would love to see you all battle for the next 2 years...but it's damaging the community. I actually felt a little sad when I read this.

DD is an extremely competent mod, I just feel he was a little clouded in his further comments and do not feel that there is need for reprimand in this situation. I am however worried about the moderation and general control of the forums at the moment.

There have been many wars that have gotten out of hand, but rarely have I seen the kinds of pics directed towards Tekki. No one deserves that, and quite frankly I'm disappointed by a) the people posting such things and b) the admin/mod staff for allowing it for that long.

I really hope you can have a look at yourself and realise that this game has become more than just a game to you, you hold grudges from years back involving people who don't even play the stupid game anymore.

You are not the only one who does this, ETL can be just as bad himself so trust me i am not having a 1 sided rant about you or your empire.

This war is killing the reputation of both sides, even if one side "wins" you will actually have lost. The chances of anyone wanting to join either side is minimal based on the pathetic and childish posts made all too often by both empires. Just look at the membership numbers, both sides have lost players already.

I do not expect you to kiss and make up, but i do ask that both sides play the game and post on the forum in a way that maintains the best principles that both empires stood for at their best.

If a parent of a young child playing this game happened to look at that war thread they would be horrified at what their child was exposed to.

Ladies and Gentlemen keep the thread on topic, Borek has raised some legitimate points. If you feel that your issues are being swept under the table or being blatantly ignored please do PM me or another proper section mod, and we will all do our utmost to help you. I am truly apologetic that it took so long to respond to some obvious broken rules. You have to realize though that there is a limited number of mods and we cannot be on at all times so there will always be a lag between when something is reported and when it is fully dealt with.



Any questions or concerns please do bring them to me I would be more than happy to try and resolve any issues you all have. The insults between players needs to stop howeve, and if I see another one I will not hesitate to issue warnings.

A war was declared with just cause, in the spirit of rolling with changes a role play post was made, as was a start date and end date,, the ensuing P word storm provoked this...when we started off 2012 ALL OF US in DDE leadership put aside all grudges..so while you may have been right about that prior to this year, it doesn't apply now. I will bring up the past to make a point yes, but this war is about recent events and justified. OE has opted to ake an easy way out of saying no to an end date or can't come up with one..regardless, as far as DDE is concerned this war will end on the date posted...OE behavior will determine wether or not we commit to thier total annihilation. And I do agree the forum conduct is absurd..look at who we are fighting, propoganda specialist

You make many valid points JT and i am not going to dispute any of them, i just want you to realise that the forum conduct by both sides is disgraceful and one way or the other it is going to have to stop. I would rather that happens via robust and fair modding and both sides stepping back from the childish and pathetic back and forth insults we have seen, especially recently.

Really what is the other option? Forum perma-bans for most of the active posters on each side?

The forums have become a place where hypocritic, bipolar people come to let off steam. The mods really need to do a better job of removing the war talk from general threads. Not every thread needs to be about how DDE is beating OE. Shock horror, everyone who plays ingame can see the stats and see where the power is so posting on an hourly basis that someone is thrashing the other side is not necessary. If anything it makes you look like you're hiding any and all beatings you really get. But that's for another thread.

Empy has put in safeguards to protect the threads going out of hand. For the moment, I am happy with this. Thanks Empy - dare I say it, you've upped your game recently.

Secondly, I've actually been fairly busy over the last few weeks moving house, dumping old stuff from the old house which has been quite a bit of trouble (for example, today I spent most of the day removing a 160kg fridge from my old house - from the second story - on my own >.<) so I've been focusing mostly on moving out. Not to mention uni starting back up, on top of work. So I regret that I have been a bit inactive as of late.

Fairly soon I will be able to mod a bit more.

On that note:

Any accusations of multiing or cheating belong in the For Admin section. Please keep all such discussions within that section, and keep this thread on topic.

Yeah, you don't realise what you havee until it's gone. Do what you got to do boss and return when you can. All your "stuff" is more important than these forums. Your work is appreciated though hopefully Empy will be able to subdue the BS until you do return!

I hope that the Admins and General Mods do have another look at the current subscription of their mod team, especially for this area. I made the situation clear to SS prior to this thread...Borek is usually active in similar hours to me and has also seen a gap. I understand that there is protocol for mods but I do not see it working. The current battle mods are relatively inactive. Not that I blame them in the slightest!
