Make ascended not suck, and force activity in a way that builds team play.

Let's face it, lots of us either don't play ascended, or play just enough to not easily be decended, and pretty much anyone that's ever ascended dislikes having to manage a second account.
Here is my solution:
Personally I always thought ascended should have been done different, like your main gets swapped for an ascended, but alliances are linked, so non ascended accounts get a stat boost from ascended members, and decended accounts drop back to main, but with near über bonus stats/weapons, and each assencion to max reduces the cooldown to reascend after being decended, that'd make it relevant again, while also removing top accounts from main when not decended, allowing smaller and newer players to get in top ranks easier, which would spur activity a bit, or would have when the game was more active years ago, I suspect it would have a similar albiet smaller effect even today.
(To be clear, this would mean merging main/ascended accounts)
Maybe add a feature where an ascended account can attack an entire alliance on main, their ascended stats vs the combined def of the main alliance, but they get decended as a result (sorta like Daniel Jackson vs Anubis in the show).
Most ascended accounts wouldn't be able to mass an entire top alliance, so it'd likely be a coordinated thing (if done smart) and would make wars not drag on for so long like they do now, as there could be a clear victor.
And to further tie into the show (like with the Ori on the show) unascended/decended alliance members above certain ranks (auto adjusted based on the games weekly activity levels) give a % bonus (or some kinda meaningful bonus that adds up) to their ascended alliance mates, making recruiting newer unascended players nessacary.
