I recently started a New account after selling my LG+1

I believe that new accounts should start with a min of 10kraw UP, 1mil AS, and 1k AT's. This will get the new players interested and they wont fold after seeing an AS of 1 and a UP of 1.

If you already know how to play. What if you train them all into Super Defenders... Then you have to wait like a day for 1 extra unit. :?

the point was, having enough turns will enable beginners to play around, AND to get decent amount of resources, thus keeping them interested.

I agree, but if in your playing around, you happen to train everything into super defenders, and thus are unable to raid :?

It was more directed at numbers comment. That sure, you can do alot with just one attack unit. But that's because you know how the game works. Whereas, giving them more starting resource, would allow them to play around more, and have more things to learn from their mistakes with

i trained my first 4 units into miners, and couldn't do anything. few turns later, i got some more, and started raiding. i wasted quite a few on raiding from players that had nothing out. luckily, i bought the personal turns off the market.
that's way i still say the most important resource at that point (as well as later on, but thats besides the point), is AT.
also, i say get rid of the ppt. it's useless as theres nothing worth taking anyway, and the thought of losing it scares beginners out of attacking.

a newbie does not usually know where to look for targets...

giving them a starting base of 100k units, and 2k non-transferable turns, and a semi-random amount of naq in bank, will give them more options, but at the same time not make it all that profitable to mass-multi to get extra units...

100 k units?
thats way too much.
100 is enough.
2K AT is reasonble.
no need for more than 1mill NAQ (or you might aswell cancel the cheaper weapons in the armory)

Your idea is based solely around your own knowledge though. And not that of someone who's just joined the game.

considering i joined the game about 6 weeks ago, by this standard i'm more qualified than you to respond to this thread.

lol, ask someone who's been playing for <24 hours about how to mass or raid, and i guarantee you, they'll have NO idea.

6 weeks = 1.5 months.
1.5 months = 3 ascensions...

I would rather consider us BOTH over-qualified for the thread, but since most newbies don't post or are even signed up to the forum, we need to voice for them, lest we loose more potential players to the abyssal realm

on the grand scale of things, 100k is very little...

the fairest way to go about granting such, would of course be a global increase of 100k units... so that those accounts recently started arent left behind either...

.

that is true. however, as dralan said waaaaaaaay back in the second page of this thread, that would make them too large too fast, without learning the basics.

i disagree. I knew, and so did hfown, as he states on the 12 page.

maybe where you stand.
i'm looking at 3 weeks to get into G&R, and 3 more weeks to get the 1001 G&R

i'm flattered :)

ok, new suggestions, taking new information and such into account...

our suggestion then, is:
100k army (50-80% lifers)
17k UP
10 free spy/anti-spy levels
1000 attack supers and defenders trained
2k non-transferable attack turns
rest of army trained as spies/counter-spies
10b naq in bank (enough to give some start, but not enough to make multies worthwhile...)

yes, growth would go much faster for new accounts, but not so fast that they would get too big too quickly... the current growth is way too small... too many new people quit because they do not get anywhere...

I say we bring this to the attention of jason. Maybe we should even link this to him. (Apparently he doesn't come to the suggestion area anymore as per lack of updates)
