i agree. i know origins was meant to be a slower game to main but it's a joke how slow it is. even having raiding on a small standard. no more than a few thousand or even hundred would do.

INDEED!!! Give me anything at all and i will be happy. doesn't matter what. mothership, raiding, new types of units, even just a new freeking weapon. just something. anything?

It wouldn't be such a bad idea if it was like up to 10% of the largest account.

My reason for that is that it allows very new people to start playing quickly, but it also doesn't enable people to mass till they have nothing left, then raid it back. Which is IMO, one of the problems with main in a way. Those whom try to grow are easily beaten down by those whom maintain smaller accounts so they can raid. If raid limit was 10% of largest size (aka perg entry) then there would be more co-ordination and less random massings in main

sorry, NO!!!! the whole point of origins is going back to main as it used to be in 05/06


i remember when raiding came in and i remember the havoc it's caused with main so no. those who are small i say to you...TOUGH! deal with it and learn to grow on your own merits, raiding is a cheap way to grow....


just had a thought, if raiding is to be introduced it should cost double the amount of turns than attacking for naq does.

i would have to put my vote for no raiding,
i think you should be able to get by with only the up you provide for yourself
maybe down the line add it in, but i dont think it should be done now

The project that is consuming the majority of my current time will be moving to a beta very shortly. This should open up some time for me to not only add new content to origins, but update the engine so future updates are much easier.

I'm not totally against Raiding being added (if it's ever considered)...
BUT, if ever it is, I would suggest only on a very limiting basis, to keep growth still under control.

Perhaps by giving the Raid option a special set type of turns all it's own (Example: Like the "old" Covert turns ... but instead they would be "Raid Turns instead...").

But instead of them regenerating per turn, they only get allowed a few set, fixed number of turns per day, a fixed set number that would reset daily, back to the max. number of turns allowed (instead of regenerating per turn.)

Also, it would never be possible to go over the set amount at any time.

Example: You are given say, 100 Raid turns Daily. That's all you can get + use each day. If you use them all each day, then that's it for that day, and no more turns possible that day. Players must wait for the next day for more (Daily total resets back to 100 again.)

ALSO, the total would never be allowed to go over 100/day, whether the player used them all or not. If you don't login one day, then you miss out on the turns that day. None get carried over to the next day, no trading, buying/selling them, etc. 100/day only, no more, no less.

Perhaps even an additional control method could be used too. something like how the Ascended server regulates growth, but is applied to Turns, instead, (a "limiter" that adjusts the amount of turns given based on current size ). Largest players would get a reduced percentage of the 100 turns (like maybe 20% or 20 turns only for the largest, up to 100 turns as the sizes get smaller) while smaller/smallest players would get the full 100 turns, until they grew enough to start triggering the "limiter". If a large sized acct. got massed and thus reduced in size, then they may get more of a percentage again until they grew again.

Just a thought...

Nonetheless, the Origins server needs to start having SOME kind of regular updates/improvements of some sort, or it will not keep many people interested (like now, Avg. of 5 players on at any time, lol.)

Raiding and planets were the main reasons i quit main, and if they are EVER introduced to origins i will quit that as well :mad:

I would like to see Attack Fatigue gone as i just recently started it makes this server basically not even worth playing given that its near impossible to even make an effort at catching up. Atleast give me the chance to farm until i am out of turns.

You can farm until you are out of turns, fatigue just affects how much naq you get and how much damage you can do.
