Death Glory Weapons sabotaged - seriously???

Are you serious about this? Do you want glory infused weapons to be able to be sabotaged with regular spies? 6 months worth of work destroyed with 4 sabs at the cost of less than one 15 turn raid? How is this equitable? It just does not add up!!!

Do you even understand the strategy behind being able to build up, maintain and use glory infused weapons? Let me tell you:
- you are limited by market turns - there is only 6 market turns per week!!
- you are limited by the slow accumulation of glory points!
- you are restrained to do maximum 119 attacks before they get damaged 100% and destroyed
- you need to keep high rank to even make it feasible using this kind of weapons

When I returned to gatewars in late November last year, found this new addition and thought it would make an interesting game play. I thought it would make an alternative to boring ascention runs, but it turns out these weapons can be sabotaged with ridiculously low costs. I had good memories from this game, but just couldn't take the ascention road no more, been there done that. All I had was this promise of an exciting new game play which with a little planing and strategy could've rivalled with ascended accounts, but you've taken that away from me. I have been massed and sabed from day one, but no one touched the death glory weapons until today, so it must be a new hidden update? I apologise if it isn't but my arguments still stand and it just isn't fair for 71k glory points to be sabotaged with less than 500k UU cost.

If this isn't intended I can accept compensation and to have my weapons restored and I'll keep on playing, otherwise this is also my goodbye thread. It's been an interesting 6 months of come back, but the game is not fun without improvements, sorry.

Hi Nigatsu, there has been no update to DG weapons.

Not entirely sure why no one would touch your DG weapons if they were sabbing you (other than the prohibitive cost of doing so against a decent covert power), but DG weapons have been as vulnerable to sabotage from the day they were conceived, especially when you have both DG attack and defence weapons (as with all sabotage, weaker weapons go first, this holds true for DG defence weapons damaged from regular attacks as well). There are no invulnerable weapons.
If you thought differently that is a very ugly surprise to run into though, I can imagine. :?

I am starting simple - and can then quite easily layer new options over time...

right now there is only:
1) 1000GnR <> 250,000 AP in ascended account
2) huge (298,000) def weapon. 1000GnR <> 1000 weapons
3) huge (300,000) att weapon. 1000 GnR <> 1000 weapons

note that these weaons are special - god granted if you will...so nobody knows how to fix them. Although if you go to get more, the gods automatically repair existing weapons of that type for you...

they are damaged in fights, sabbable, spyable, etc...just like normal weapons in that way.


Its worth noting that the GnR market is a part of the regular market, and purchases use up market turns (of the 6 you will have weekly....)

This should address those with 'too much' glory ;)

Before going down this road I wanted to find out more about these weapons, but didn't found that post you quoted. Would've saved me 6 months and hundreds of hours of playing lol

I thought about the fact that when these weapons add up a lot of power all my other weapons would go down a lot faster with sabotage, since sabotage damage is based on weapons added power and not count which btw makes sabotage a very powerful massing tool, but never thought they can be sabotaged, people have done that but never went all the way to wiping out all the regular weapons until yesterday. So yeah a nasty surprise! :D

Nevertheless, as with everything there needs to be a balance. Glory weapons perhaps shouldn't be invulnerable to sabotage (despite being limited almost to the point of pointless), they can be destroyed with massing, I knew that but, perhaps there should be a different way, maybe only glory infused spies would be able to sabotage them? (they are 'god given weapons' - no one knows anything about them, how they work, how they can be repaired - honour the gods and they will let you keep them, forget about the gods then forget about the weapons) I mean make it a tit for tat.
