To re-iterate: No 'Mix-and-Match'ing of chains

By now everyone is familiar with the concept of account chains, accounts linked through ascensions (the NG chain: NG account, NG-main and NG-ascended, and the regular chain: Main and Ascended). An account chain is considered active if at least ONE (1) of its constituent parts is active (ie. not on vacation).
It is -unfortunately- necessary to repeat that you cannot have multiple active chains of the same type.

Some examples:
Angela plays her regular Main account, but doesn't play its associated Ascended account. Angela can not play another regular Ascended account, because she already has an active regular chain. If Angela does play another regular Ascended account, the first offence will result in the disabling of the most developed account chain. Any second offence will result in all active chains being disabled.
Kim can play an NG-Ascended account, even if the associated NG-Main is in vacation. If she does, she can not play an un-associated NG-Main; she already has an active NG chain.

Donald only has an NG account (on NG). He wants to buy an NG-Main account. Without deleting the existing NG account, this purchase is illegal and can result in both accounts being disabled.

Suheil has a Main account without an Ascended account. He wants to stay unascended, but also wants to play the Ascended server. His only option that does not risk account disabling is to buy an NG chain including an NG-Ascended account.

These rules are the law of the land, it is your responsibility to acquaint yourselves with them. Ignorance (innocent as it may be) is no excuse.

"I saw Boris do this! Why is he still here?!" - Today, April 2nd 2017 is a 'Day Zero', because I'm not a **Filtered**. If you see anyone playing across multiple chains from this day forward, please report them to support@gatewars.com, on the forum via PM or in this section. Communication about investigations and results is limited to confirmation of receiving the report; the results are either visible or not.

"Disabled? Why not deleted?" - Deleting accounts is so 2012. Disabled accounts are a boon to everyone but the offender. After an appropriate period of time during which no one can attack the account, the account is returned to the ranking without access. Any planets on these accounts will enter the 'planet pool' (where motherships fish for planets) so that others may benefit. Seeing your legacy laid low and your name taken forever is a fitting punishment.

Any other questions, shout.

Re: To re-iterate: No 'Mix-and-Match'ing of chains

doth this mean there no longer will be ostracized accounts?

if so.. how can we determine from ID that it was banned?

for example i see in logs

Apr 02, 01:54 Non-existent p84789 lost 15 0 0 3 1,167,560

can i find out if this account was deleted by owner or banned by you?

I will look into what might be a cosmetic issue, thank you, famous Serbian. (Edit: should be good now.)

No, it does not mean there will be no more ostracised accounts - maybe the accounts with disabled access will have a separate tag - they will be in the ranking. The ostracised accounts will show as such - just on their stats page (still accessible), no such marking elsewhere.

For clarity's sake, the ones that have been disabled will be called 'disabled accounts' in official terms, and the accounts currently banned and not ranked will continue to be called 'ostracised'. :)
