Hmmm replace Fist of Fury by The Green Mile. I forgot to add it because I ALWAYS to add movies...also forgot Indiana Jones movies but can't be arsed to remove others from my list and to think which one(s) Indiana Jones I would add :-D

Flowers for Algernon would be very high on the list, probably #4, but my opinion of the movie is more so based on my liking of the book, so it was left out

Re: The Official TGW top 20 movies of all time!

Hmmn... :-k

In no particular order, as I like each of them with varying degrees of passion depending on my mood...

1. Fantasia..........Brilliance, I still have dreams about this from when I saw it as a child.

2. Star Wars Episode IV: A new Hope..........I think you know why this is here.

3. Stargate..........See above.

4. Second Hand Lions.....I found it...touching...

5. Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King......Probably the best interpretation of any of the books.

6. Batman The first, and the best...though Heath Ledger gives Jack Nicholson a run for his money in the latest movie.

7. The Movie Hero Quirky and fun...I like that.

8. Evolution......Do I need a reason?

9. Romeo + Juliet......Not a lot of people liked this version of the play...I thought it was brilliant...Particularly Mercutio, for whom I have a soft spot...(ahh high school english)

10. Terminator 2: Judgement Day......The best of all the movies in the franchise. I wish my family copy still existed.

11. Indiana Jones: The Temple of Doom......"Aum Namah Shivaya"

12. What Dreams May Come......If you haven't watched it, make sure you take some valium before you do.

13. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind......Another example of my strange taste in movies.

14. Starship Troopers......Yeah, no excuse for this...I just like the cheesy excuse for violence...

15. Wall-E......I honestly think this is a masterpiece, I love this movie.

16. Monty Python's: The Meaning of Life......This movie left me depressed for weeks, since I suspect that was the goal...I like it.

17. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy......42

18. Band of Brothers (the bits I've seen)......I like what I've seen, and I plan to see more.

19. Lord of War......Sometimes I wonder if I have a man crush on Nicholas Cage...then I remember...noooo, I have a man crush on Sean Connery.

20. Conan the Barbarian......"What is best in life Conan?" , "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women."
"Arrakis teaches the attitude of the knife - chopping off what's incomplete and saying: "Now, it's complete because it's ended here."

been reading Homestuck, eh? inb4 con air bunny hand outs....

well, i dont have any particular order here....

1. Top Gun (NOT for tom cruise, or any of the other schmucks they got to act in it. in my list for the aerial photography.)
2. Boondock Saints (if you have to ask, then my time is wasted explaining.)
3. The Usual Suspects (great cast, and everyone knows the name Kaiser Sose.)
4. The Professional (Jean Reno being a badass, and Natalie Portman before she threw her career in the trash with Star Wars ep1.)
5. Toy Story (instant classic, really brought attention to Pixar/Lasseter)
6. Who Framed Roger Rabbit (technical brilliance, still holds up today, and we can't forget Christopher Lloyd. bloody creepy role.)
7. Saving Private Ryan (another of those movies where if I need to explain it's wasted time. oh, and a young Nathan Fillion.)
8. Akira (i dont like to bring anime into this, but it's a cult classic in anime circles, old as heck, could list it under sci-fi if in need of justifying.)
9. Forrest Gump (another with no need for explaining.)
10. Back to the Future I
11. Back to the Future II
12. Back to the Future III
13. Terminator (awesome for a low budget flick, and at that, insta-classic.)
14. Terminator II (living tissue over metal endoskeleton.... nevar forget.)
15. Hot Fuzz (more Pegg/Frost awesomeness here.)
16. Tales from Earthsea (again, cautious to add anime to the list, but IIRC it's the first Studio Ghibli film to be done by Goro Miyazaki, as opposed to his father Hayao Miyazaki. it seemed to be a lot darker than other Ghibli films, and was very well done, up to Ghibli's regular animation standards.)
17. Spirited Away (another anime.... another Ghibli film. one by Hayao Miyazaki this time.)
18. Alien (OBVIOUS)
19. Aliens (the only one of the quadrilogy other than the first that imo is worth watching.)
20. Iron Giant (Massively overlooked disney movie. fantastic film, flopped at the box office. never got the fame or attention it deserved.

I avoided mentioning star wars, mainly because it doesnt need mentioning. the original 3 movies should be on any list, and there are other movies lesser known that deserve a look in. I also avoided avatar, because the story was not original at all, the only thing it was good for was to show off the "new" 3D tech. and spawning a bunch of unimaginative Na'vi roleplayers.

I probably could add more to my list.... but eh. not really able to think beyond these at the moment.....

oh, and *bump*
