Welcome back to Quantum:Resurgence. Are you ready? Lieutenant Bilbao Pan greets you on the balcony where you previously woke up. He explains the situation to you:
After the trial of Promotions, such a long time ago, you find yourself once again called to the fore by factions within the Ivory City. You haven't heard this from me, but it looks like the City itself is on the brink of open revolt. To present a viable alternative to the establishment for the City's government, you are given funds and manpower to build your power base. Your mission: To challenge the old, stagnant Grandmasters of Swords, Shields, Eyes, and Ships, building a better strike force, a bigger defence, stronger covert or a more significant mothership. Four Grandmasters, four choices. Power your realm through specialisation and bring glory to yourself, the City and the Quantumverse.
The Position:
This is the second step in Quantum's multi-Era story arc of 'Resurgence'. After waking up in the Ivory City, you are presented with a series of challenges (Eras) with different hooks and angles. Your first challenge has been to promote through the ranks faster than everyone else in Era 44; Era 45 pits you against high-ranked enemies with fixed stats, whom you will try to overtake while shaking off the opposition. Future challenges will include an environmentalist angle, a fuel-management 'travel' angle. The challenges are designed to test your skills as a possible leader of the Ivory City. The person who clinches that title will have a special role in one of the future Eras of Quantum!
The Goal:
Era 45 is a classic type Era - there are 32 'Automaton' accounts representing the establishment of the Ivory City. These accounts do not farm and do not attack. They have a specialisation and corresponding higher stats in that area.
Featuring Quantum Focus (throwback to Era 26): explanation included in the tooltip on the base page.
Become a Grandmaster in one of the specialisations (build higher stats than the Automaton) or beat the top accounts; 'regime change' policy is in effect, meaning that should the Grandmasters not be defeated, you will have another chance at it in the next Era.
This era has started: Mon, 5 Dec 2016 00:00:00 Game Time (PST)
