Re: DOTA

In general I think Dota is a fairly awful game, I struggle to see where the addiction comes from. 9/10 times the entire match (which can last well over an hour) can be decided in the first 10 minutes. One team gets the first few kills and bam. To get a good game you need very balanced teams, which is almost impossible I hasten to add, otherwise it becomes a white wash which people don't enjoy or it becomes hours of one team just about hanging on, but not doing much whilst the other team either toys with them or just sucks at finishing.

I've played Dota and Dota 2 a fair bit now, playing the exact same map every game gets boring, switching between characters at first can be fairly entertaining but that quickly wears off as most are **Filtered** to put it simple.

Play COD or Battlefield 3 in moderation (to make sure it doesn't get too repetitive), much better. Different maps, you can suck in the first five minutes and rock in the last five and still win. Game isn't over until its over. ;)

If you're a pro the game is decided in the first 10 minutes, but if you're just a regular player it's really not over until it's over.

I'll take that as a compliment but i'd hardly call myself a 'pro' if I was honest.. its just the same thing as I said.. you've probably just become accustomed to fairly balanced teams playing against one another.

Re: DOTA

Eh I suppose if you play any game enough it becomes repetitive and boring.

Defense of the Ancients. Was a game....style in Warcraft 3(?) and it's been taken out of the game (still in the game) and made into a standalone game.

Ya it was in Warcraft 3, pretty sure it started in Reign of Chaos, then went over to Frozen Throne like everything else...
