Legend of Dragoon

My favorite PS1 RPG. Now I am afraid to say this because as it stands right now the title is amazing, but I would love to see a prequel made. I think going back to the Dragon Campaign and discovering how the original Dragoons came into power would make an amazing game. To play through the Wingly conflict and all the wars would make an amazing experience if done right. With the power systems have today they could really polish it.
Any thoughts on this? Does anyone feel the same way, or is the general consensus just leave it alone? I hope most people on this forum, or at least in these threads know what I am talking about, even though the game is now over 10 years old.
