Unit Production Cost

Sorry.. found another maths bug...

Cost of UP seems to be broken..

Curent raw - 203,584
Cost of next - 342,760,553

ok.. I get that its adjusted by top UP.. so the difference in each subsequent cost will increase by a bigger margin each time I upgrade (until I'm top UP anyway)..

Here's the costs when I buy 1 level at a time;

next level
Unit Production: 203594
Cost of next lvl: 342,794,226

Unit Production: 203604
Cost of next lvl: 342,827,901

Unit Production: 203614
Cost of next lvl: 342,861,577

so the difference in each cost is;
33,673
33,675
33,676
so the next one would be approx 33,678 (lets be safe and say 33,700)

next cost = 342,861,577
cost after that = 342,861,577 + 33,700 = 342,895,277

total = 685,756,854
but when i try to upgrade up at a multiple of 2.. it tells me this is not enough resources.
so i withdraw excess naq.. and when I upgrade 2 at once.. it takes
actual = 685,765,250

thats a difference of over 8k naq.. which again.. doesnt seem like a lot.. but thats with a multple of 2 attempted.. This would multiply if you were attempting to purchase larger bulks..

I estimated the costs of the next 3 would be;
1,028,887,905
but it was actually
1,028,943,105
- difference of 55k

Making it appear as if the cost is going to be significantly higher the more you increase your UP in one go..

I have been buying UP in batches of 1.. (which takes some time.. let me tell you)
And I know others have been doing this as well.

There seems to be a problem with the price and the link to Top UP.. so the problem probably wouldn't occur for the player with Top UP. But everyone else is affected.


Hopefuly, the link between the Top UP and UP cost will be removed (see suggestions board).. but if its not, this will need to be addressed.

Personally - I liked it when there was a discount for buying UP in bulk (although I believe that was also a bug) because saving naq for a big 999 upgrade made the first half of the game more exciting ^^

The top UP is also broken. The price increases way more than it should (not just buying in bulk, buying separately as well) and it gets reset at turn change. But having the top raw will not only make your UP the most expensive, but the cost will also exponentially increase more than it should.
For buying UP in bulks - based on my experience, the difference can sometimes also go in your favor. That's if you buy more than 1k raw in 1 go (or something like that, I wasn't doing a proper testing, just observing it a bit).

The rounding used by GW (all of it) is the most efficient given the server's configuration.
It does have its drawbacks though, unfortunately. This being one of them, I will look into upgrading parts of it. :)
