Ok just did a few calcs...this will only really help if you could already descend someone beforehand, obviously, if you can chip away at someones LF and reserves more than they refill naturally, their personals will decrease in proportion to how much is left.
Basically decrease in personals = (LF + LFR)/(LF max + LFR max).
Works well otherwise though.

Approx straight 800's against another approx straight 800's:

Takes about 17 hits to 0 with levels decreasing.
Undescendable otherwise.

From the updates page...
* Some defence personal levels of the defender will now decrease (temporarily and only in combat) during descensions, the amount they decrease is proportionaly to life force + life force reserves
divided by their maximum to a minimum of 50% of the attackers personal levels. Also this will only be seen in battle for players who attack defending targets with a personal powerup summation of 1500 or less
than theirs, i.e your attack power + attack skill + defence power + .... minus theirs must be 1500 or smaller (so basically if you're much larger than your opponent you get no help).
God questing will show you what personals will look like in battle (if they change at all).

Read it a few hundred times to make sure the answer to your question is not in there.

The energy absorbing power, skill, and the unique skill of energy repulsion -usable only within ones own realm, and their constitution, lessens this by 3,305,770,102 to 413,703,757 total damage taken, thereby reducing their life force and reserves by this amount.

Heaven Seeker, at the same time, hits ~Zoxis~ with 2,029,710,356 total power, while also repulsing 1,571,477,706 of ~Zoxis~'s own attack back at them, for a total of 3,601,188,062 potential damage! This, though, by the energy absorbing power and skill of ~Zoxis~, and their own constitution, reduces by 2,823,331,441 resulting in 777,856,621 total damage inflicted by Heaven Seeker on ~Zoxis~!

This damage return doesnt seem right O.o has anything been changed in regard to that? was expecting to see something in return around 400m (player has less ToC and equal defense personals)
