keeping ontop of this one here on forum....but oh would it have been fun to just launch and watch...

covert no longer protecting your defense is going to make tons of people build massive defenses, those in large alliances/empires will be hard for others to take on.

Making attack weapons go first is a better approach then only attack weapons, but if you prefer to bring massing back then IMO the best approach is...

increase amount of ATs spent before auto-war.
increase amount of damage before phasing.
decrease loss ratio for attack, but not to what it was previously.
limit or remove alliance repair for defensive weapons.

Currently its very hard for the little guy to do much in return to someone bigger, as before it was much easier to mass people and thus the little guy could retaliate. The recent updates have made more of a separation from large and small, something that should be looked at IMO.

Sabbing doesn't need to be changed AT ALL. Sabbing was FIXED before, don't ruin it now. What needs to be changed is massing needs to be fixed, because that WAS ruined. Reduce unit losses for the attacker, make defense weapons get damaged a liiiiitle faster, and make Alliance Repair only available to the Alliance Leader (for now).

I think alliance repair should be limited to a certain number of uses per day/week.

Or you could just increase the cost of it? So its not cheap anymore?

It's limited to 10 per turn, which makes someone massable IF they have no nox/critical and preferably a war setting. Assuming you have a fast enough connection and a big enough strike then it's 2 minutes to mass.

Well then after a while maybe remove it if making it only available to Alliance Leader is still a problem. I've never had a problem with Alliance PPT though. Then again I've not been in any big war alliance or anything since the update for it.

1) phasing taking a bit longer to get to
2) limiting alliance repair to 5 per turn or even 60 a day or so...so per day instead of per turn.
3) increase autowar limit A BIT
4) decrease attack unit deaths A BIT
5) not sure i will change sab at all now :)

1) phasing if increased would make smone lost a lot of his army if he get sniped , also it ll be fully used when massing players with a lot trained. better as it is now as there were not real issues against it.

2) alliance repair mostly been used just not to pull heavy resources while being massed and using 4b to repair worth 1T naq. also its fast using allie repair then having it farmed. another issue has been using allie repair while farming using high strike. it can be strictly reduced to /turn because at least everyone can benefit it.
Alliance PPT has proven to be the most strategic move to ruin massing , one see massing happens and set 3 hrs ppt and u get massed while u are offline. better completely remove it. that way other PPT combo to fully cover a week wont be easy.

3) double it
4) reduce att units losses to give a chance to masers that dont have high covert lvl , its too costly considering the AB.

While I don't fully agree that alliance PPT has ruined massing it's contributing certainly. I believe it is the combination of cost, limited time frame, alliance repair and PPT's from all sources - Alliance and Black Market.

Increasing the trigger for Auto war will help. At the moment, you mass someone and then lay your entire account out for them to destroy EVERYTHING. While I know the reason was to stop snipers, it does also prevent and discourage normal massing in war. First strikes in war now strike and go to PPT to reset relations with their targets.

If you still have a hankering to change sabbing - alter it so that you can pick attack or defence weapons but don't alter anything else about it. Sabbing is still after all the ONLY way of getting to destroy someone's strike. Blood realm does not count!

I think if your going to keep allaince repair (such a bad idea), do not have per turn, i like the per day idea and 60 may be a little much, maybe 40

I also agree with Lithium who said that Alliance PPT is a much bigger problem than repair.

I think the combination of both is what causes the most player frustration.
