Re: The Tok'Ra List

There are several gaps in your plan, you great races who claim to be at power.
You say you're really in power, but you let the System Lords believe otherwise? Idiocy. You just told them.
The Furlings are long extinct, joined by Aesir in the "Milky Way" galaxy not so long ago.

The System Lords have political superiority, and therefore influential power. You can't deny that without lying to yourself. However, the System Lords cling on to their old ways, while the other races are young and innovative. While the System Lords rely on numbers, the young races rely on tactics and new weaponry.

It's always an interesting fight, but even by killing the System Lords, you won't be able to diminish their influence, only have them replaced, possibly with a greater evil. The way it is now, when the System Lords fight each other senselessly, is acceptable on a greater scale. The weak minded will follow them and die in the wild goose chase, while the strong minded will join the young races and plot.

It's the way it's always been, and none can deny it without making a serious error in logic.

Re: The Tok'Ra List

We furlings only let you think we are extinct. You were easy prey for that simple thing.

Our brethren, the Nox, have done similar.

Re: The Tok'Ra List

Again, the foolishness of those who wish to claim the throne is obvious.
You let them believe for so long, and now you shatter their illusions before your initial strike?
..And they still wonder why the Goa'uld are so powerful. The answer is, their enemies are just plain stupid. If a real threat were to rise.. well, there is an ancient saying that will better explain what I mean: In pace leones, in proelio cervi.
Also, "a word" of wisdom for the Children of Entropy.. Audi, vide, tace, si vivere in pace.
And at last, a word for both the Goa'uld and the Children of Entropy, cui desunt amici, is semper miser est.

Re: The Tok'Ra List

Why should we want to rule over others? There is no real benefit to it.

Re: The Tok'Ra List

Then leave that to the phasing serpents. Why take away their influence without the intention of replacing it? You'd make a large gap in the chain of power, which would soon be taken up by the next willing party, which if it wouldn't be evil at the time it took up the task, would ultimately turn into a reflection of the shadows past. Do remember, reflections can sometimes be more terrifying than what they reflect.

The Goa'uld and the System Lords will always rule.

It is as clear cut as the sun rises in dawn and the sun sets in sunset.

Re: The Tok'Ra List

It's actually a bit foggy, but what you say is not half false. The Goa'uld will continue to reign for quite a period of time, because the masses join the popular ones.
Considering every human being in the galaxy has the instinct to hurt other creatures, even for self-entertainment, I can see why there are so many Goa'uld. The illusion of godhood added to that, it makes for a perfect advertising.
"Become a Goa'uld, be a God, rule over billions, kill everyone that dares even look at you!"
as opposed to
"Join the Ancients in the eternal struggle to keep the universe in balance. No benefits included."

In such a situation, people are facing a crossroad of life, the ending of both roads being the end of life.
1. Walk the straight narrow - it's shorter AND harder
2. Go on the insanely twisted broad path - it's longer, AND broad! You can even dubstep on it!

However, there are stairs at the end of each road, the narrow leads to rising stairs, while the broad path leads to the Gehenna.

Re: The Tok'Ra List

The Goa'uld Rule because they are the Gods and are accepted by those who are faithful. Others must see the way or simply die or become slaves. IT all ends the same way with us on top and you on the bottom.

Re: The Tok'Ra List

You're showing idiocy. You know you're not truthfully gods. If you were gods, you wouldn't need armies, so vast would be your power. You wouldn't need servants, and would most certainly not need to own physical territory.
Admitting you're not gods wouldn't diminish your power, but indeed make you look wiser, and even bolster your ranks, because being a god and doing such pathetic things as you do is not impressive. Impressive would be if you created a planet in but a fraction of a second, along with inhabitants for it - if you were gods. If you admit you're not gods, then the progress you've made would be that much more impressive.
Alas, wisdom is not amongst the qualities held by Goa'uld.

Re: The Tok'Ra List

Lord Vishnu walks into his chambers. Another wasted search. The Tok'Ra tunnels had not seen use for many years.

He thought on this as a slave girl ran over and gave him a chalice of fine Koor. He drank from the chalice. It was crisp with a sharp bitter taste. Still it did not quench his first. Had he finally wiped out the Tok'Ra. Do they still exist...............................................

Pardon my lord, I do not wish to insult you, but simply because we hear no more of the Tok'ra, we shouldn't assume they're gone. They may be preparing for a final assault.

There is no one left to pose a threat to the Gods or to the System Lord Council
Even if you hear a bad story about me, Understand that there was a time I was good to those people to, But they won’t tell you that...
