I suggest the following order:
2, 4, 6, 5, 1, 3, 2.

:-D (Yes. That is 2 times you'd be reading Candide, but with 2 completely different mindsets. The books change your view of the world.)

And miss the light, but engaging entertainment of the Brothers Karamazov? I can imagine dropping Hesse and Salinger.. there's light, and there's featherweight.. but if Ang lists them, I suppose he wants to read them at least once. :P

sounds like a good order hun, I have heard great things about Candide so I can imagine reading it twice

yes I do wish to read each book at least once...Salinger and Hess simply for their story telling rather than their insights

Dostoyevsky is quite frankly one of my new favorite authors...so dropping the Brothers Karamazov would be tantamount to an international crime and no one in their right mind could skip Nietzche

Re: Give me your opinions

I've not read those books excepted Candide (I might have a go at the others...). Well, I bought it due to my highschool deciding to make us work on it, and I found myself interested by it and read it several times again. This sorta helped me to develop an ironical sense & critical view about things.

This is the order I would read them in. However, I have a relatively low tolerance for Salinger. I would recommend you read them in the order in which they interest you most; that method will insure the greatest enjoyment out of the experience.

Re: Give me your opinions

That it does. You finish one book, look at the rest, and decide to read one of the ones you had planned to save until later. It all depends on what you're in the mood for.
