Why must we all be removed as a voting member everytime awards etc come around?

Would it not be much simpler to just give voting rights to all accounts of a certain age and post count? (providing that account isn't banned ofc)

I think there is a misunderstanding, the Voters group is not used this year. We will void the votes of any member who does not meet the criteria outlined here: viewtopic.php?f=343&t=204033
(Specifically point 5 of the General Award Rules: "You cannot nominate if you have less than 150 posts, no matter how old your forum or game account is." Nominations are the only round this year.)

[spoiler]On why we would remove members from the Voters group if we were to use it, not all voting situations have the same requirements. All require activity on behalf of the voter however, which is checked through having them sign up to the group.[/spoiler]
