I've looked and I've looked and I've looked and no one can give me a straght answer on what does an untrained merc do. SOMEONE GIVE ME AN ANSWER!!!!!!

If you buy enough of them they can make a difference in your APP since they count as mercs.

However, the Naq that you spend buying them can much better be used trading for DMU rather than buying the untrained to up your APP for LF cache.

So, they don't do much and really aren't worth the naq you put into them.

Unless you like collecting them. Some people really like collecting the untrained.. a new minimum of 5M hit the market every turn.. and they always seem to sell.

untrained mercs have 1 pourpose.

It makes your army size look bigger on the att page.

The naq used to buy them would net more APP in UP or left out in the open, so that is not a viable option.

Wrong... they don't even do that...

with the new bank upgrades you could use them to store your naq, because they can't get killed, like attack and def mercs. Though it isn't that "profitable" because you lose 4/10 of the naq.

well its better than losing all ur naq :p

Better to trade your NAQ for UU when the price is down and then resell it when the price goes up after you ascend..

Just trade in your money for something that'll do some good, but 100k amts if that's all you can afford.

But untrained? Eh, when DMU prices were expensive for cross server trades, it might have been worth it. I ascended with.. billions of them my first time and it gave me a significant bump. DMU was a lot more expensive then.

But something to think about.

1 Trill Naq = 150T DMU
150T DMU = 15BIL LF Cache

15Bil LF cache is a lot... You're really lucky when you ascend if you get 2-3Bil if you've put a chunk into raw UP and cov levels etc. For the price you would pay to increase your raw or buy cov levels or even buy untrained mercs you could get 5-10x or even more than that if you just trade the Naq for DMU instead, even if you get a "not-so-great" deal of 100T DMU to 1T Naq. There are buyers out there who will trade small deals too.

With DMU prices the way they are, don't build up an account for APP.. just trade out the Naq or UU (that you save for not having high raw UP) and get a huge amt of DMU that will translate into MANY TIMES more LF Cache than ascending with it.

That is something that needs to be looked into. Rough ascending now when APP means so little and the weapon changes.. even keeping the weapons isn't worth it compared to the Naq = DMU market... sigh.
