It's not a good update..

Yea, no one likes this new update. Good thing I decided not to spend my APP yet. But still I say take this off. Everyone put a lot inot flow, and now its pointless.
Not everyone. I had level 15 in flow and never needed any more. The two most valuable stats are (and have always been) Charisma and Production along with Fleets. With those two stats well developed, you can build you account, resist descension, and grow your other stats. If you're pouring all your efforts elsewhere, you'll never grow in ascended. This strategy isn't new and didn't change with this update.
Say what you like or don't like about the update but it has accomplished what Forum wanted: a more active ascended server and has given newly ascended players a chance to play. Everyone lost something in the update, you're not the only one sitting in the leaky boat.
See I'm from the old school method of play where you get balance in all stats... but I know that Production & Charisma are your key areas of growth so I place MORE into those than the others...
I wouldn't be surprised to see people overtake me with huge planets/day and income/turn but need to level up those points in defence/covert etc
I've been around spying people for a bit of fun see what people have and yes lots have spent heavily in charisma/production but what makes me smile is that those people with a huge income/UP have 3-4x's the defence network planets I have and only have half the defence capabilities
I know who I'll be farming

it all boils down to how you choose to play... and as with anything going to heavy on some stats but not others will always cause an imbalance/disadvantage which someone else with balanced stats will be able to exploit but will be weaker on your "heavy stats"
