Poll: Recruitment in Newbie Forum
Newbies will go to newbie forum. What better place to recruit newbies? Maybe if they are instantly recruited, they won't quit the game so easily. The game is very slow going when you're a beginner. If the beginners have alliances or COs to help them, then they wouldn't succumb to boredom.

Re: Poll: Recruitment in Newbie Forum
They're also likely to look at the whole forum the first couple of times they visit - and therefore will see the recruitment section - so, no.
The Newbie section is for new people to introduce themselves and to look for answers/ask questions about the game, not for pitching recruitment.

Re: Poll: Recruitment in Newbie Forum
for the noobs. not for the forums. if the forums get confused just so i can help a noob, then so be it. i could have used that same help a month ago. there just isn't any facility for new sign-ups to go to where they can seek help in-game. the only place they can go to is the newbie forum. why give them a hard time looking? if we could pick up a few noobs to help now and then, the new accounts inactive rate will drop.

Re: Poll: Recruitment in Newbie Forum
you know, you can PM them when you discover them...

"Great holy armies shall be gathered and trained to fight all who embrace evil. In the name of the gods, Browsers shall be changed to carry the internet out amongst the peoples and we will spread Firefox to all the unbelievers. The power of the Firefox will be felt far and wide and the wicked users of IE shall be converted to use the true browsers."

Re: Poll: Recruitment in Newbie Forum
I agree with Wolf359.
If you see a newbie in the newbie forum that you simply have to recruit then there's always the option of sending them a PM and sounding them out that way. Allowing 'recruitment' on the forum itself, however, will just clutter it up and lead to genuine help becoming less accessible.
