Right, I mentioned this earlier about the Hawking radiation.

But there is such a theory called Hawking radiation that was brought up by Stephen Hawking. The idea is that the radiation causes the black hole to lose mass and shrink. Small black holes emit more radiation and shrink quicker.

But of course, we do not know this for sure and it has never been observed.

As for there being one in our planet's center, I doubt that. And even if there was a small black hole in the core and Stephen Hawking's theory is correct, it would be gone by now.

question...i'm no physicist but, if there is a micro or mini blackhole in the center of the earths core being surrounded by matter, wouldn't it expand?

i mean, a gravitational force that strong in the center of the core would swallow the surrounding matter and slowly but surely would grow and when its of sufficient size that process would accelerate and suck in the planet very quickly...

yes, or am i way off here??

a black hole also expels energy.

it expels energy but feeds on matter, and a gravitational force that strong would by my understanding of blackholes (which has only been gained from the discovery channel) feed off of any matter close enough for its gravity to grab hold of.

I suppose it would all depend an the exact size of the blackhole in question, we could be talking a pin head or smaller.

The theory has many holes for sure, but it still interests me.

The core of the planet is molten as far as I know, but what is causing this kind of heat and pressure build up? The theory explains that a micro singularity could be the cause, masses of material being sucked into it gravity well get compressed and the friction causes the material to become super heated. Could this be why our planet has a molten core & gravity? Also this could be used to explain why the pole has been shifting over known history. Could also explain the aurora borealis seen in the northern and south regions.

Once the Micro singularity reaches critical mass, it's energy is expelled in the form of a gammer ray burst, these event have been documented in the heavens? You could say this could be the cause of massive periods of unrest on the surface, Major earthquakes and eruption.

Whos knows for sure what's really down there. We know more about space than our own planet core.

Then again some people believe that the world is hollow & holds many wonders.

Another theory I've heard is that the planet is actually expanding, this caused the continents to separate and move apart, the new material coming from mid-ocean ridges:-

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid-ocean_ridge

If you think any of these theories are crazy, then just consider that a vast amount of the population believes that the world is 12,000 years old and was created in 7 days.

Hickers said it best about those people. To quote Scientist says to creationist "Well what about dinosaurs and carbon dating???" The creationist replies "God put them there to test us" LMAO.

Then there are those that believe there is a blue geeza at the center of the Earth pulling levers and pushing buttons. LMAO.

Who knows for sure... :)

the problem i have with the micro blackhole in the center of the core theory is that if there was 1 there would it not be devouring all the matter that surrounds it and make it grow?

i saw a program about the super massive blackhole in the center of our galaxy about a year ago, which was studied over a period of time and it showed the blackhole was more or less dormant when they first started studying it and then noticed that some planets/stars were being slowly nudged towards it, and the scientist said that there was a VERY high probability that some stars/planets have strayed to close in there orbits and will only get closer and it looked to them that the blackhole is once again feeding...

very cool program.

solid thats beyond unlikely. a black hole in the centre of the earth would have swallowed the earth by now. how would it get there aswel? at the creation of the solar system instead of the earth forming, the black hole would munch the ingredients. kma be right about the swallowing the earth bit.

S0lid Snake wrote:but what is causing this kind of heat and pressure build up?

heat: gravity and friction?
pressure: gravity.

S0lid Snake wrote:Could this be why our planet has a molten core & gravity?
i think theres simpler explainations for these, although gravity is still somewhat unclear.

S0lid Snake wrote:Could also explain the aurora borealis seen in the northern and south regions.
isnt this already explained by high energy particles hitting the earths magnetic field. at least i think thats true.

S0lid Snake wrote:Once the Micro singularity reaches critical mass, it's energy is expelled in the form of a gammer ray burst, these event have been documented in the heavens?
i dont think a black hole has a critical mass. and the gamma ray bursts come from the creation of black holes and neutron stars i think. the powerful bursts are dangerous. if one hits the earth full on it would seriously mess earth up.

i watched a very good programme about the LHC and i couclude that its safe. the scientists invloved dont think there is a realistic danger. they are just looking for some particles, not messing with the universe. cant wait for their results to start coming through after the switch on.

Yes, but what caused the initial attraction of mass to create the planets core? A blackhole could explain this. Imagine an entire ocean draining though a pin prick, it would take billion of years. Records of the actual Earths size are far to new to rule out the possibility that the Earth may be growing or shrinking, or even flexing back and forth, when the Earth warms up would it not follow the universal law of expansion?

S0lid Snake wrote:Could this be why our planet has a molten core & gravity?

That my point, gravity is an unexplained force, maybe its not an independent force, but a side effect of massive density, like from a blackhole.

S0lid Snake wrote:Could also explain the aurora borealis seen in the northern and south regions.

The light display is yes, but again this goes back to the question what is causing the magnetic field, is it an iron core or is it a distortion effect of a blackhole

Indeed they do, all that material has to go some where, it can't just disappear, material is converted to energy and expelled.

S0lid Snake wrote:Then again some people believe that the world is hollow & holds many wonders.

Yup, there was a recent expedition set up to go to the center of the Earth, but it never got funding, so it didn't happen. There are many subterranean species down there, I doubt we've seen the weirdest, and it's seems constant that fact is stranger than fiction

Yeah, I couldn't have said it better myself. Sarah Palin is a creationist isn't she? And she could be 2IC of America, SCARY.

Hmm, some times they get it very wrong, scientist said that nukes would end all wars by deterrent, how wrong they were. We'll just have to wait and see, I'm sticking with what I said that this will be a colossal waste of funds that could have been better spent else where. I hope not though, it would be such a waste if it was true.

lol, nice reply for a change, see we can be civil, can't we? :)

Biggest theory on how the Earth was created was from cosmic cloud dust, particles, and gases. It becomes condensed, forming a molten ball, as the molten ball starts to cool down it formed an other crust. A lot of the heat coming from the core is said to come from radioactive elements and from being insulated by the exterior crust.

Could also explain the aurora borealis seen in the northern and south regions.

Which is mostly created from electrically charged particles in the atmosphere and the magnetic field. Also solar wind also contributes to the Aurora Borealis. At least as far as I know from what I read in science books and science websites.

Another thing you would have to take in account. How was the black hole created and when was it created? Was it before or after the Earth was formed and how?

Here's my the Black hole theory Or (my imagination gone wild):- :D

The big bang was a climatic event that started this all off by spewing material & energy into our existence, the wave front tearing its way into new space, creating gravitational anomalies like black holes, some smaller than others.

Dust clouds of exotic material passing by major anomalies would eventually become a black hole regular as we see them today. The minor would be become infantile planetoids, these black holes could be less that 1 millionth of an atom. At this small size the distortion affects are weaken to the point of 1G at distance 5150–6360 km, 3160–3954 miles.

As outer compaction occurs and depending on the initial material within the dust clouds the surface is formed. A trickle of material into an event horizon occurs resulting in an ever growing swirling mass of molten materials within the planetoids core.

Over the eons the surface settles to a mild set of movement pattern from within the core, earthquakes & tectonic plate movements, at times of ejection from the singularity, volcanoes occur as material is forced from the core.

The affect of the distortion create weather patterns in the gaseous outer atmosphere, visible on most planetoids with some form of atmosphere.

Galaxies, stars, black holes, planets, weather systems, water draining all follow a universal vortex pattern.

Objects within the universe from stars to sub-molecular levels follow the spherical pattern, would this be true of black holes? Are they flat or spherical? We once thought the Earth was flat.

Could black holes been whats holding the Galaxies, Stars & Planet together?

It's a remote possibility at least.

It can't yet be proved or disproved.

Mad science.

I think I probably am bit mad after reading that back to myself.

But it already has, according to the theory of general relativity, space is constantly expanding. Not by creating new space but by altering space-time according to the curvature of the universe. Couple that with Hubble's Law of relativity, that spacial entities have been found to move away from each-other at velocities proportional to their distance from one another. Meaning, not only are we constantly moving away from everything else, but the farther we get from everything the faster we start to move away from it again.

That theory has been widely accepted as fact and has yet to be dis-proven, for the past 9 decades. :?

As far as the world ending, we'll see.
