Re: Why do we keep coming back??
Well, being one of those who attempted the most to quit, and never really succeded, I suppose that it's fact we are involved in this forum/game, and that combination of both along with msn convos, is something unique, that is interesting to experience. More interacting community than in many other forums in this world.

Re: Why do we keep coming back??
I often find I have twenty minutes to spare now and then when I'm studying - I want something to do that takes my mind off work, but not enough to distract me too much - sgw provides a perfect break.
Then I'll be here for a few months, even a year or so, and I'll get bored of the monotony....so I'll quit. Then I struggle to find something to fill those spare few minutes....reading fiction distracts me too much, soon get bored of flicking around on youtube, and going to find mates to chat to often devolves into a few hours off work.....so I come back.
Its also the people, friends I've met, characters that are here. Currently its Origins and the roleplaying that's keeping me occupied atm

Origins is a breath of fresh air isn't it Magni?
For me its the ease of it. There is a PC everywhere I have time to kill. I enjoy the community and the people here as well. I definitely don't stay for the game any longer. I still like this type of game, I just no longer find any join in what SGW has turned into.

Why do people come back to this game?
This game is where a large portions of people communicate and interact on a daily basis thus becoming friends. Friends keep you playing because you like their company.
Pretty much all there is to it. Friends, fun, and a way to ease boredom.

Re: Why do we keep coming back??
Noobert pretty much said it all. You create friends as you play and with that more fun can be had on a daily basis. You want to see your friends again, have fun playing the game with them again, and even make more friends. There all reasons to come back.

Re: Why do we keep coming back??
Its a good way to waste a few minutes (or hours). Thats all. One day you wake up and actually have no plans and feel compelled to log back in to pass the time and catch up with some old friends.
Having said that, this game really can become too much very quickly

Re: Why do we keep coming back??
I come back because I forget the reason why I left, extreme addiction.
Every time I've quit it's because I've found myself simply making it more and more important as far as time use.
Most of the time I quit after a "oh I just spent 18 hours logged in"
day.
Then I'll stick to my guns, avoid the forums.
Months later I find myself wondering what's going on in the game, hit up the forums, and desire a new account to get back involved.

Re: Why do we keep coming back??
Well I can certainly think of worse things to do with my time. Rotting my brain with t.v. Rotting my brain with large quantities of intoxicants. watching questionable videos on some sites. Hey wait a minute I do all of these things anyway usually while playing the game. I'll admit when I first started playing it wasn't the most exciting of things, but that was no doubt due to the fact that I knew no one . It must have been about 3 months before I even got around to looking at the Forum. Now as you can see I am perfectly willing to run off at the mouth about anything. LoL
